There you go Mr Bowyer, that's what those big net things are for. No stopping us now.Uboat said:

Seriously though surely he must know something to be posting stuff like that.
As @PaddyP17 says got to deliver if punting out stuff like that.
Fan engagement and milking the contrived sky sports transfer deadline day drama machine is all good and well if we bag some adequate signings and retain a squad permitting us to compete the remainder of the season...a very risky and naive strategy if there's no substance behind it.
Still feel optimistic at this late stage, perhaps my own naivety and overwhelming desire for us to have turned a corner after nigh a decade of being kicked in the proverbials by successive Charlton ownership but the next 29 hours will signal whether or not that optimism is misplaced.
Buckling up for tomorrow.
Never simple at Charlton!1 -
Well that's hard to say, I'm just going by what we have been linked with. He has great potential, don't wanna sound like a broken record but he really is powerful, a lot stronger than Taylor and Bonne for instance from what I've seen and when he hits a ball it stays hit. I think Taylor could be a great mentor for him, with his body build he could be really imposing and he is quicker than Taylor just doesn't quite have the same flair Taylor has or quick thinking.flyingkiwiDK said:
I’d never heard of JCH until yesterday. Does he really count as a “Super Deal”?Braziliance said:Super deal would be something like JCH or Maddison. I think we will get JCH. We are just about 24 hours away from finding out, at least we know it won't be boring now
I've wanted him for ages, when he was mentioned before I only wasn't keen cause I thought he was injured, now he isn't he would be a welcome addition and is a player Bowyer could really work on and improve imo. Lee has/had improved Taylor, Leko, Bonne and to some extent I would say even Davison. I don't see why JCH would be any different.
So long as Taylor doesn't go I genuinely think it's a signing we should be excited about9 -
Reading the Bristol Live blog it appears Bristol Rovers will ask for more money but will let him leave if their valuation is met.0

Yep, sounds like 2 mill is their demand. I can't make my mind up about the fee. Bit bizarre really as if we got him for 1.5 I would say bargain, 2 just seems like a lot which for me defies my own logic. Isn't my money at the end of the day but he definitely improves usValleyGary said:Reading the Bristol Live blog it appears Bristol Rovers will ask for more money but will let him leave if their valuation is met.1 -

It's almost as if half a million pounds is a very large sum of money...

Selective choosing that, Pratley is a machine. McGeady has had a fair amount of injury problems in the past. I think it’s an exciting signing, but a gamble yes imoRossman92 said:Age is not an argument, especially as its only until the end of the season. Pratley will be 35 in April1 -
Depends on which net they go in...ShootersHillGuru said:It will be goals that keep us up.0 -
Would like us to go for Tyler Walker on loan from Forest if they're not planning on using him. They recalled him from Lincoln earlier on.1

I’m good think McGeady signing, but what happened to young with potential sell on value? Or is that for defenders only?0

Bowyer and Gallen seen tonight In eltham restaurant’s...7

Greg Docherty has passed a medical this evening apparently. From someone I’d consider reliable. We’ll see tomorrow I guess.

The sell on value comment was to Pogba though, who I was training with us. I would imagine that would have been a short term deal also. Although I accept not a loan deal but still. Who knows.Oggy Red said:

Also, just thinking about it, if McGeady is to sign, he’ll know Williams from being at Sunderland together. That would help him settle for a little while.
Anyway, looking forward to this time tomorrow when it’s practically over.4 -

Just here to join in a few days training as a favour ....... we reckon, because Pogba is a mate of Naby's.

Well in that case, apologies. I must have missed that. 👍🏼Oggy Red said:

Given the time of the takeover and the poor value for money January window I would see any business as very short term "get us to the end of the season and over the safety line with experienced bodies and some young loanees".Dizzle said:I’m good think McGeady signing, but what happened to young with potential sell on value? The rebuilding and development of the squad can happen in the summer once we've stayed up. The squad can be enhanced then and player investments with future resale value blended into the squad in the summer.
Next 24 hours is about getting decent bodies in that can strengthen the squad and help keep us up.
Unlikely to build a long term team in the notoriously silly January window.
Real statement of intent will likely be demonstrated by the ownership between May and August and hopefully and likely in this division (unless we sign some worldies tomorrow and make the playoffs).6
