I personally thought the City one exceeded expectations. Don’t recall a top Premier League team giving anyone that sort of access before, especially where you’re watching half time team talks from Pep Guardiola across an entire season!

The access was great, it’s interesting to see clubs up close like that at a time when we are so detached from the millionaires. But they only gave that access because they had final cut, and that means it’s basically propaganda for the Abu Dhabi machine. It’s designed to make you think “oh I quite like these guys and what they’re doing for football!”
So that when they get done for blatantly cheating the system, you’re more likely to want them to be forgiven!

This, in a nutshell. It was terrible imo. No creative freedom for the director. A PR piece.
I met a couple of the cast from this on Monday for a junket. Really nice chaps, and clearly very passionate about this show. Made me want to watch it after talking to them.
Twice I saw us in that clip, both times in yellow. For a moment I genuinely forgot about any league games and thought they’d CGI changed the Wembley game to put Sunderland in red.
Opening and closing with injury-time winners for and against us are such great bookends to their season - looks like they'll spend a little time on it at least from the trailer, very excited!

Its quite remarkable how the first game / last game were so similar in a way
- First goal was a defensive error - Winners came from behind with a last minute winner - The losing side in each game partly lost due to injury
i.e. Gooch's challenge on Pearce should have been a red and basically left us with 10-men at the end
Max Power going off was a huge shift in the game @ Wembley which was a unfortunate collision with Sarr (the sole difference of the comparissons)
Belated and given the current climate have caught up with STID.
A terrific insight particularly into Jonny Williams, his injury issues but more than anything his self doubt as reflected in his interview with the psychologist. He comes across as a thoroughly decent guy and I just hope for him, as much as for us, that he can just have a decent run without injury that will give him the strength of character to perform at his best. He's still only 26 after all.

Hard to believe that he's only 26, a bit like Sage really , I wonder if that's the name he uses to post on hear ?

The Leeds one on Amazon is brilliant, narrated by Russell Crowe. Best football docu-series I've watched.

Its not as if they are going to be covering anything from a Charlton perspective.
And with the works so terrible right now, who wouldn’t want a chance to relive that amazing day ten months ago - even if it’s just for a few minutes.
