Not surprising given how much time he has had out but Williams is not at his marauding best so far. Need to get him on the ball.

Bonne got his shorts on and ready to come on?

I blame ESI. They knew we were in the shit without some investment and improving the team. It's been glaringly obvious for months
If we are relegated it's their fault imo. Got in especially for the window then did fuck all to help.

They have nothing to invest. We are still in this. Come on boys...

Boro doing very well getting two players to mark him out of the game

Ref isnt giving him anything either when they foul him

Woeful so far, they are pretty much walking it through us. Can't defend.
It's not just  the defence. Midfield is non productive. Just look at the difference between their attacking threat & crosses into the box. Woeful.

Well would say Bonne is coming on the way he's warming up

    Reckon it'll be for Lapslie
I’d put Lapslie at left back

All we needed was a couple of champs standard players in the Jan window, to secure mid table, ESI couldn't even do that

If we can pick it up a couple of levels to shit we might stand a chance
    outstandingly crap atm

I reckon next week against Hull we both make history as the two shittest teams ever and we both end up losing in the same match
  • Let's face it. Apart from the first half against Forest, and Derby at home, we have never really looked like a good side.

We can't even take a throw on without it causing us trouble.

Absolutely nobody could have predicted this drop in form.

Oshilaja is playing quite well, much better than expected.

    That's it. That's the positive.

You say we’d had slightly the better of that if it wasn’t for the suicidal goal against again. Shape change has helped us. Doughty for a Lapslie and push Williams right, Doughty left wing.
Eh? If Boro had brought their shooting boots they'd be about 4 up, they've had so much space in and around the box but keep dragging it wide under no pressure. How any one can say we've been the better side is beyond me.

Disagree. They have been playing nice patterns around us up the pitch and I'm surprised they have only scored once. Standing off them too much and letting them have too much off the ball.
They had too much space in midfield, particularly out wide, when we were in the diamond. Us switching to 442 has starved them of that and we were well on top towards the end of the half. Just needed to fashion that one clear chance. Green had caused them problems too. Was pretty even overall, just they had a good spell then we had a good spell. Difference is we gifted them a goal and they, very rudely, haven’t seen fit to return the favour. I think if we stick a right footer on the right and a lefty on the left we can get at them out wide. Maybe Bonne on as well and focus on getting crosses in. This ain’t over but the back four have to play a solid half with not more comedy defending. We do at least seem to have stopped asking Pearce to be play maker and have focussed on moving the ball forwards.

    Big, big 45 mins coming.

I thought with the injured players coming back we would see an upturn in results, and we kinda did. However Stoke and the last 2 and half games have been absolute car crashes.

Teams know to press our defenders. They know that mistakes will come and there will be chances. Week in week out the same has happened.

Come to think of it, even when under no pressure we often pass to the opposition anyway! Pearce twice today.

Do we have a defensive coach?

Still not sure what Lapslie was doing by letting the ball run past him. Maybe dummy for Pearce behind him? Who knows...

Often sitting too deep again. Forward(s) isolated from too deep midfield. We've got to play the game in their half.

That’s how easy it is to score a goal.

Sounds shit all round, big 45 minutes coming up. Somehow get 2 goals and other results staying as they are and we would move to 18th.
