have Sky named the live fixtures yet
Means they could then have a foot in the promotion race, play-off positions (as even if West Brom win, Fulham could jump ahead of Brentford) AND the relegation battle provided Barnsley get something today3 -
Whilst Fulham can do it, they think WBA or Brentford is more likely and they have chosen to focus on promotion above relegation which is understandable.
As for Wednesday, the EFL have to announce something one way or another. I think realistically it has to be done on Monday or Tuesday. They can't leave it up in the air so nobody knows what is happening after the last ball is kicked. There is definitely a decision to announce (Not guilty - would have been announced already in my opinion or Guilty - no way given the delay can they give a token points deduction and even only a massive fine will look like they have bottled it so I can't see how it wont be significant).

Fulham still having an outside shot at auto's is key to me. They won't be able to rest players. If Davidson bullied Wigan, what will Mitrovic do to them... 3-0 Fulham, the Reds are staying up.5

You see I have grave doubts about a point being enough on Wednesday let alone a win especially if we have no Matthews and Pearce... Ayling, Alioski and Hernandez will tear us apart.. a bit like that opening first 20 minutes at home where we should have been 3 nil down.
I've watched Leeds a few times this season with my old boss who is a massive Leeds fan and they can be utterly relentless going forward...to the optimists yes.... I will have some very large humble pie ready but we are not going to get anything from Leeds in my personal opinion.
We need a Sheffield points deduction to stand a chance as I fear Luton will do enough, Wigan will probably edge it and don't be surprised if Barnsley turn up too just to feck it all up.
Yes the fight and passion we gave yesterday was brilliant.. I couldn't have asked more... BUT where was it against Reading, Millwall, Hudders away and my personal favourite Derby away which will stick in the mind for a long while....toothless.
To suddenly turn up now is too little too late.
A Miracle please or League one beckons...
Okay... Now bring on the optimists.🤣
I had all but forgotten that game. Changed by Sky so I ended up spending two nights there as I had planned Christmas around it and had incorporated a stop over there on my way home from Edinburgh.
I think I put more effort into that game than our team. Embarrassing.1 -

Middlesbrough away was surely worse than the Derby performance?5
-
Fulham have to go for it, the play offs are too much of a lottery to not try to get in the top two. WBA are not in form and a draw is no good for Brentford if Fulham win.
I may even forgive Scotty Parker a little if they do they beat Wigan, preferably by half time so I can relax.7 -

Classing Rooney as a coach is a great example of how they are getting round player salary budget rules. And add to that selling the ground to themselves!!Wednesday have invented sponsors to pull the wool over the authority's eyes! They sold the ground to themselves too, but moved the tax year falsely to not fall foul of the rules. Apart from being ridiculous, this is dishonest and unfair on those clubs trying to compete fairly.3

Brentford are the perfect example of how to run these days and is how Roland could have ran us

We know when the hearing started and I think we can be pretty sure it is not still going on. I can only think Wednesday have been found guilty as if they were found innocent, that would have been announced straight away. We can only speculate why it is taking so long to hear the punishment.dickplumb said:Wednesday 1/100 on to be relegated. Bookies know something?
Regardless of the depth and cynicism of SW’s conduct EFL not played with a straight bat at any stage. With EFL’s one eyed obsession with starting next season ASAP they know the legal wrangling with SW will last months ensuring no penalty this season
EFL doesn’t want another’big’ club going to admin and know Chansiri will pull the plug in a heartbeat0 - Sponsored links:

But why wait? It actually takes away the possibility of deducting a smaller amount of points.0

I think we have to bring Birmingham into this. Both Wednesday and Birmingham fell foul of the FFP rules. Birmingham owned up and Wednesday tried to cover up. Not only by selling the ground to a company they formed after the sale was recorded as happening, but also by creating companies who sponsored them that didn't exist. One of them actually appearing on their tickets
So Birmingham got docked 12 points with a 3 point reduction to the standard penalty because they co-operated. Wednesday did not co-operate and have undertaken dodgy practice and defended that vigorously and aggressively.
So are we seriously thinking that Birmingham will get a harsher punishment for taking a more honest and open approach?8 -
MuttleyCAFC said:But why wait? It actually takes away the possibility of deducting a smaller amount of points.Because it might have a material effect on how other games are played. If we, for example, knew that the massives were going to be deducted 12 points (or even automatically relegated) then our game with Leeds has no meaning whatsoever (assuming Barnsley don't win today).Wigan already know their fate - that's clear.I do not expect anything to be announced until after the games are played on Wednesday.7

It's all bonkers and gawd knows what the EFL are playing at but just read this below taken from Owls talk an hour ago.. It really does highlights what a complete fuck up everything is:
"Just thought, if we do get a deduction before the final game Barnsley could get relegated twice in four days.
If they don't win today they're "officially" down even with Wigan's -12. But if they draw, thus getting relegated, and we also get -12 they get a reprieve - and failing to win at Brentford, or us or Wigan getting a result in the last game relegates them again.
Every cloud and that...

One thing is absolutely certain in all this, Sheffield Wednesday fans have delusions of grandeur and forget they support a rubbish championship side.
"I am sure our lawyers have spelt out all the things that we plan to throw at them if the decision goes our way. And I recon the main one will be cause as must disruption to the EFL as possible. So they are almost scared into not sending us down"
"If they really wanted to give us a proper punishment of say 12+ points. Then we would have found out weeks ago so we knew exactly what we needed in order to survive"
"I have believed from day one that there is no way that a club would ever be relegated under these circumstances"
"The EFL don’t want to relegate us. So they are waiting to see how many points we have. If 12 points take us down they will enforce it next season"
"The EFL will not wish to lose Sheffield Wednesday with the likes of Barnsley, Hull, and Luton in the bottom three"
"It’s teams like Wednesday who bring in the TV revenues. They’d prefer to lose smaller clubs than the bigger clubs"
What an absolutely 'massive' bunch of pricks.6 -
I like every one else has no idea what has been decided, but can not understand how it takes so long to publish the decision. But one guess, if decision has gone in favour of Sheffield Wednesday then I would have expected that to have leaked out to the press by now,0

Hence why the appeal was heard by an independent commission.4 -

If Wednesday appeal, surely the timeframes are too tight now. Surely all clubs and the league must know what divisions they’ll be playing in come Thursday morning, bar those in the play offs0
