They will.
Then the likes of Accrington can look forward to a massive pay day.4 -

"I am sure our lawyers have spelt out all the things that we plan to throw at them if the decision goes our way. And I recon the main one will be cause as must disruption to the EFL as possible. So they are almost scared into not sending us down"
"If they really wanted to give us a proper punishment of say 12+ points. Then we would have found out weeks ago so we knew exactly what we needed in order to survive"
"I have believed from day one that there is no way that a club would ever be relegated under these circumstances"
"The EFL don’t want to relegate us. So they are waiting to see how many points we have. If 12 points take us down they will enforce it next season"
"The EFL will not wish to lose Sheffield Wednesday with the likes of Barnsley, Hull, and Luton in the bottom three"
"It’s teams like Wednesday who bring in the TV revenues. They’d prefer to lose smaller clubs than the bigger clubs"
What an absolutely 'massive' bunch of pricks.
Hence why the appeal was heard by an independent commission.0 -
Do decisions need to be made before next season starts.
Having looked at the EFL's current work load and the fact they are a bunch of greedy, lazy bastards, I can't see it.0 -

My understanding is that the panel can increase a punishment beyond the guides and can also mitigate as well.
I am hoping that it is all in appeal now. It would be totally unacceptable for the punishment not to be decided before the season ended. After all, this is the reason it was all bought forward.1 -

Barnsley win! ):0

With Barnsley winning today ...... should Sheff Weds get a 12-point deduction, they're right now bottom of the League - only they don't know it yet!

You see I have grave doubts about a point being enough on Wednesday let alone a win especially if we have no Matthews and Pearce... Ayling, Alioski and Hernandez will tear us apart.. a bit like that opening first 20 minutes at home where we should have been 3 nil down.
I've watched Leeds a few times this season with my old boss who is a massive Leeds fan and they can be utterly relentless going forward...to the optimists yes.... I will have some very large humble pie ready but we are not going to get anything from Leeds in my personal opinion.
We need a Sheffield points deduction to stand a chance as I fear Luton will do enough, Wigan will probably edge it and don't be surprised if Barnsley turn up too just to feck it all up.
Yes the fight and passion we gave yesterday was brilliant.. I couldn't have asked more... BUT where was it against Reading, Millwall, Hudders away and my personal favourite Derby away which will stick in the mind for a long while....toothless.
To suddenly turn up now is too little too late.
A Miracle please or League one beckons...
Okay... Now bring on the optimists.🤣
Wigan HAVE to win. Anything else & they are down
Luton HAVE to get something out of their game, and even then that might not be enough.
We dont.
Is that optimistic enough for you ?2 -

I may even forgive Scotty Parker a little if they do they beat Wigan, preferably by half time so I can relax.1 -

They will.
I believe Wednesday will have a sufficient points deduction to be relegated.

I’ll say it one more time . Sheffield Wednesday will NOT be getting a 12 point deduction this season . The EFL do not have the balls to do it .0

Wednesday haven't been in the Premier League for TWENTY years now, they're certainly not too big to be given a big punishment0

Any points deduction will be applied next season as a “compromise” IMO.0

I think it either happens today or it's not gonna be this season.2

I still think the reason there has been no publicised outcome to the hearing so far is because they are going to relegate Wednesday.
Either straight relegation or 21 point deduction on Wednesday night/Thursday morning.6
