Yesterday game resembled our 2-0 loss at Plymouth a few seasons ago. Should have been 2 up before they score & then look devoid of ideas after that. At least yesterday we weren't there in person to have to endure the long trek home - unlike the Plymouth game.
EDIT. Just checked back to the play-off winning season. We beat Luton at home 3-1 after going 1-0 down - we were also losing 1-0 at half time. That was the last league game (ignoring play off final) that we have gone behind & won. 54 games ago. But things are going to be just fine & dandy now as the transfer embargo has lifted & we have players falling over themselves to join us. Once we have those 6/7/8 players it we will be a different team
And yes @jimmymelrose - I will take up your bet. We wont have more than 15 points after 12 games.1 -
Ha ha ha.
It's a steal bro.
I have faith in Bowyer and things are gonna change quickly.
As you say yourself: Past performance is not a guarantee of future performance, or something like that.1 -

Bonne and Washington almost the same as one another.
Pratley outstanding passing. Even if it was 47 short passes and one poor long pass.
Successful passes into the 18 yd box from outside:
Levitt 2
Barker 2
Doughty 3
Oshilaja 1
Washington 1
We managed a successful pass into the 18 yard box 9 times. that for me is piss poor.
Things will improve. and you mustn't forget that we've had less time to prepare for this season than 21 of the 23 other sides.1 -
Reality bites hard. Lincoln may have been two divisions apart last season, but we had a relegation side and they had a promotion side. They learned how to grind out wins each week and we ground out defeats. Since last season they have strengthened and we have lost 10 Championship experienced players. What we have now is probably not a squad that will be successful. Bowyer knows that, Sandgaard knows that and we as fans know that. We have prayed and dreamed of getting to this point off the pitch. The on pitch stuff will come, but not before much work is undertaken.
To use a gardening analogy, we have a garden filled with weeds but amongst them are some beautiful trees, shrubs and plants. One weekend of weeding and digging isn't going to clear that mess that has taken years of neglect to develop. With a few years of work the rewards will be clear. Will it be a show winning garden, who knows? But it will be much better than it has looked in a long time!2 -
Sadly for the ref he was let down by his assistant. If as reported, the assistant was not up with the play so couldn't call their player offside, there is not much the ref could do. I think it affected his performance a bit in the second half as he would have been aware of what happened. I reckon the ref would probably have been livid that it happened.
Given the circumstances, it was an error from the assistant that might see him being demoted as it was not up to professional game levels. What makes it more unforgiveable was that this stemmed from the penalty so there is absolutely no reason he shouldn't have been in position to see it.2 -
The verdict of my Lincoln supporting mate when I spoke to him this morning:"Charlton were really good until we scored, then they appeared to give up."

Watched the game and totally agree with Bowyer we should have been 4-0 by 40 minutes.
Lincoln's first Goal was yards off side as their manager confirmed afterwards.
I also think Amos should have saved their Second instead of just Standing there motionless.
i agree that Bonne was poor and slow but I do think he will I prove greatly when we have a few more experienced signings around him.
i also think due to the fact we missed or squandered so many changes we made Lincoln look a lot better than they actually are ........onwards and upwards with TS 👍👍👍🥂🥂🥂1 -

Sorry, but it is simpler than that. We were the better & more dominant side for 44 mins. We didnt take our only real chance (Washington) and were also a bit unlucky with a couple of blocked shots & deflections. They got their noses in front by aid of the officials & then in the 2nd half we not only couldnt break them down we ran out of ideas. Then we brought on JFC when we needed to go for it......just about sums it up.
If we had scored with Washington's effort I reckon we would have gone on to win quite comfortably.......not scoring 4's & 5's but a 2-0 scoreline like the Crewe game. We were too good for them until they scored & we had to chase the game.

I didn't watch the match, but unless the highlights give a misleading impression, where are the sitters that Bonne is supposed to have missed?
During the lockdown 9 game period I never felt that finishing was our biggest problem - a lower Championship striker is never going to have the same stats as a Vardy or Aguero - it was the lack of creativity which was more of an issue, and without Gilbey we seem to lack someone to open up defences with a bit of vision. With Pratley or Watson to do the dirty work, surely someone like Morgan would be a better bet than say JFC, as he at least does have some creativity about him1 -

Since the resumption in June - 3 wins in 12
Since the start of the year - 6 wins in 24.
Need I go on ?
That's 1 win every 4 games. And from a pretty large sample for the boys saying "give it time" or "look at the table after 12 games"
Yes we had injuries in Jan & couldn't strengthen due to the embargo. Yes we couldnt strengthen after relegation.
So, now we have Thomas the Saviour. We have 3 weeks until the transfer window closes. We have 7 matches in October (less if games are called off due to international call ups). How many points do you think we will have after the magical 12 games ??
The above stats say only 2 more wins. I'll push the boat out and say 3 from the next 9 games plus a couple of draws. Let's be generous and say 3 draws......so an even 3,3,&3.
15 points from 12 games. Probably enough to be out of the bottom 4 but not enough for the top half.
Oh what joy.
I bet you a tenner that we'll have more than 15 points after 12 games, you pessimistic wallybrain.
Put your money where your mouth is.
With Love, jimmymelrose

We've done very well with our recruitment but Michael Appleton must have a pretty good scouting network to pick up Lewis Montsma. He was playing last season in the Dutch 2nd tier and was signed pre season on a free.
He has scored in no less than six games this season including in this game against us - and not one of them penalties. We'd give our right arm for a striker as prolific as that. The thing is though, he's a defender!1 -
