But, as you say, I can't see United being happy if he doesn't play. In that respect, I'd love to know whether there is a clause in the loan agreement that he has to be in the 16 if fit.
He's been in the 18 in every match, started 3, been on the bench in the other 7 matches and NEVER come on.
He's starting to look like a last resort signing, in that period before TS took over when we had no money and he was all we could bring in. Once the finance arrived, we could and would do better
Anyway, let's not get hang up on him tonight after such a cracking game. Which he watched from the subs bench.
Honestly the Levitt bashing on this thread, in a game he didn't even play in...?

Levitt is a great prospect and we will be providing Man Utd with feedback. There are parts of his game he needs to work on and he needs to find those qualities if he is going to get into the team. That is probably why Man Utd sent him to us. Morgan has similarities and I know it is early days but his performance against Brighton made me sit up and take notice. There is a decent chance Man Utd would prefer he wasn't a shoo in into the team.
Sandgaard should learn from Duchatelet's mistakes. Get Aneke and Morgan signed up on new deals a.s.a.p.2 -

What we don't know about Levitt is where Manchester United see his development is at mentally, physically and emotionally. Do they expect him to play for us every game or are they happy he is training with men, competing for a place in the team every week? Remember Chelsea seemed quite happy Jay Dasilva didn't play much in his 1st loan for us, so much so he came back the next season.3 -

Yes, but I mean a longer one on better terms. There was a question mark over Morgan but that is lifting and it looks like Bowyer has managed the lad well. You have to get in early before the big fish start fishing.Cafc43v3r said:

Dont agree with Barton saying they were the better footballing side.
They werent terrible but I though we moved the ball around better all over the pitch whereas they give it too Burn to run at us, Maatsen dived in a couple of times and they looked dangerous but after Maatsen changed tack and stood him up that was that.
Some of the balls through and over the top from us were really good. Player for player we were better.
Thought Bogle was great and if he was sharper and a tad fitter he would have scored that 1v1.
Also...Ched Evans is an arsehole.

They can make all the pretty little passes they want but if you don't create anything then its a complete waste of time... They went direct twice, two chances, two goals... Passed it around us and like Oxford, like Portsmouth just simply gave the ball back to Amos2 -

Not a huge fan of his but rare to see a manager admit a penalty against his team was the correct decision

Indeed a tainted man. Can't see us buying him for that reason. We've argued enough about him on CL and just as we all have various views on him so would the players/staff. Leave well alone.

10 games gone and we are gaining momentum.
I'm convinced this is the best balanced squad we have had for years. Now both Morgan who was excellent and Purrington, who had his best game for a year, have joined the party. No weak links.
It's impossible to pick a 1st 11 and no need because with our squad Bowyer will rotate until the end of season.
The downside to rotation is we will have times like yesterday when we become ragged as the personal and the formation change during a match. It's a strength and a weakness: fresh legs being the main advantage.
Shinnie and Morgan both pass with style and to be a top 2 side we need the ability to feed our front men with a five course meal not crumbs.
34% possession is fine when you have the oppositions forwards in a vice (Pompey) but not ideal when Evans turned the clock back to being a Championship striker.
17 shots and 5 on target: this must be our aim going forward, not 2 shots or no shots on target like the Sunderland game.
This is a bespoke squad for a League 1 campaign. Our only objective is to be promoted so this club can establish itself in the Championship.
As Lee Bowyer said: we are ahead of schedule and the players are getting fitter to make up for the lack of a proper pre-season.
Support who ever wears the shirt. Even Golfie is beginning to believe.

I'm starting to really enjoy watching this team, although last night I mainly enjoyed the first 20 mins :-) But I also think that after those Evans goals previous Charlton teams would not have come back to win.
Ched Evans had a good game last night. But in our team? Come off it. I've seen him play against us and be completely ineffective, more than once. At this level Lyle Taylor was far better than Evans is. And Evans is a year older. Both Washington and Bogle had their best games for us last night, and Washington took the penalty expertly. As for Chuks, this time last season I wasn't the only one asking "what's that all about, then?" I think we are starting to see the answer and I like it. So we will not have one talismanic striker but hopefully three very useful ones, who each bring something different and give us options.
Definitely feeling positive. If only the fans were allowed back.11 -

Last night was a really big game for us in terms of how we dealt with a setback. There's been talk about how our luck is going to run out and we can't keep getting way with our clean sheets and odd-goal wins. Well, this time we started quickly, took a two goal lead and then had to deal with that being taken away in two minutes. From there we regrouped and got the third goal, and I never really worried about us losing it at that point. Last season if we were 2 goals up going into the last ten I would still be worried. Shows that there's character in this squad beyond just nicking games off solid defending. We took on one of the better teams in the league and put three past them. It's also just such a refreshing feeling this season enjoying results without a caveat. For the past few years even when we've won there's been that nagging feeling that none of it really matters because we're still the plaything of psychopaths, that we're just a team of short term contracts and loans that will be unrecognisable the next season. Under Sandgaard that feeling's gone regardless of the result. It's nice liking Charlton again.

Can someone show me comments slating Levitt? So far they only seem to state that he's no better than our own young midfielders. Last night Albie played very well and did all the bits he's been caned for not doing in the past.
He also did what we know he can, he played some beautiful passes and even won a penalty.
It's not madness to state some of us would prefer to see us develop our own players ahead of Man Utd's players if the quality isn't that different OR (and I am not saying this is the case) the Man Utd talent isn't as good.5 -
