My son is a ground hopper and 12 matches  out of 22 in the lower leagues that could have had spectators up to Midnight within 20 miles or so have been called off because of the pandemic.

His second choice was Croydon Athletic v Charlton U21 but according to the Croydon Twitter is off because of positive tests of opponents.
I never new you was Elfsborgs dad.

Bought tickets. I hope the club is able to deal with a situation like mine that is understandable and customer friendly and not a labyrinthine ball of confusion.

    Seriously, what can you do?
Remind footballers to adhere to Covid rules.
But footballer = thick as a house brick
So representative of British society in general then.
Yeah agree but still not as thick as the yanks.

    Shit.
I was hoping to get the match in before we have more training sessions and pick up yet more injuries.

Should have new signings in as well by the time we play them.

A nice little rest before the Christmas footballl fest will be helpful. The depth of our squad is going to come into its own after Christmas so it is all looking good.

It would be ironic if Oztumer was one of the players who tested positive...

    Oztumer would only catch short-Covid

Apparently he didn't play Saturday due to illness, so you could well be right!

I'd like to see Purrington at LB with Maatsen further forward. Or you could have it the other way round, with Purrington as a defensive minded left midfielder allowing  Maatsen freedom to overlap

Either way, we need to use the squad, with our midfield resources slightly thin at the moment. Maybe it's a game for Levitt to play in, not at the base but in the "Shinnie" role?
Purrington in midfield .  Please can I have what you are smoking ?

shame for the chosen few lucky (or as it happens unlucky) enough to get tickets
  • Got an email from the club inviting me to buy a stream about a minute before the postponement announcement.
So did I, and i bloody well took them up on their kind offer to relieve me of  my tenner :/
  • I know it’s frustrating but safety is more important than football

theres a good chance the season could be wiped out for spectators to attend games, given how slow it will be before the vaccine is rolled out to enough people to really start killing the virus.

Couldn't we let them borrow a few players to make up the numbers?
Let them have Bogle & Gilbey
  • we could end up playing them back to back

    To reduce risk of transmission?

Does this benefit us in any way?

Suddenly I feel more confident that we would have won!

Sandgaard said 2 players of theirs only had covid. That is a joke if true.
Others would probably be in isolation.
Our strikers have been operating in isolation most of the season.

It doesn't work like that. Both can get forward and they cover each other.

At Wembley and many other games including the Wimbledon match when Purrington had his 5 minutes he started and finished the move for the 5th goal but still I keep hearing he's no good going forward. I know he's one paced but not giving him credit is getting beyond a joke.

Ben would play full back and Ruud Maatsen our young Dutch boy on loan from The Russian mafia club will spend the most time attacking on the left but as Charlton should play on the front foot for 95 minutes they can alternate to keep up the pressure.

Gunter and Maddison/Smyth etc should do the same on the other flank similar to the 2nd half against the Dons.

maybe they have kids who contracted it a school or partners who work in front line roles.

They can't live in bubbles for a whole season.

Ahhh, shame it's been postponed, rather like your expectations ;)

They are an average, inconsistent L1 outfit with a new and very experienced manager who has got them organised  .. we need to be beating them and their like, although we find it difficult to do so .. the team should be buzzing after Saturday but they (B Rovers) put four past the Wombles (away) so complacency has no place at the Valley and no team in this League should be underestimated ((:>)

    CAFC 2 v Bristol Rovers 1
They were clinical against Wimbledon, there wasn’t much in it at all, easily could’ve been a draw.
    Unfortunate

We lost Levitt and Oshilaja for Burton | Ipswich | MK Dons | Shrewsbury for the same reason!!
Albie Morgan was in isolation for the AFC Wimbledon game.
