Bailey said:Maddison is a waster, blaming Bowyer for naming and shaming is shocking. He is dead right about some of those players, the kids like Maatsen Morgan you can pass off as a learning curve but time and time again senior professionals like Williams, Maddison and now Pearce have let him down. Pearce knows he's playing next game so instead of wacking the ball off for a corner he tries a chancy header. Bowyer is paying the price for injuries, suspensions and having to cobble together a side with a bunch of players nobody else wanted, who are simply looking for a pay cheque.1

We have a team of players who look the part but don't have any substance.JFC was ok.Does gilbey offer anything?1

Literally WTF did I just watch....really I mean WTF was it...

Who was blaming Ben Watson ? I think he's put in a shift all season, I am pointing the finger at Maddison and Williams. Nobody wanted them and they are not playing for the shirt, as for Pearce, he knows he is playing next game, same as Gilbey.3

Look at all our injuries and our bloody defence 😂😂😂😂
Am not allowed my opinion,
As for me being like the “ Trump” Mob😂😂😂
What the fuck that means god knows.
So Mr expert who would you have as our Next
Manager ??????
And if our two centre backs come back from injuries when this “ new manager” comes in,
And we start winning etc will it be down to him 😂0 -
i just hope TS puts bowyer out of his misery asap - that is all2

However, after this evenings post-match interview I think the manager has had enough.
He hasn't just thrown a player or two under the bus, he's put on full Rambo outfit, lobbed a couple of smoke grenades into the dressing room and started spraying bullets everywhere.
There can't be a player left in that squad who'd want to run through brick walls for the boss.
It's a sad day for the Charlton Athletic Football Club.
Welcome to Danish Dan the next manager of Charlton some no mark that fans can get behind for a year.
Then perhaps genuine fans would be more willing to draw a line under it and allow Bowyer to do what he needs to do behind closed doors.
I think it is very poor management to single out individual players publicly like he has done.

A big BLAME culture has erupted at our Club now. This needs fixing. If performances don't improve, we either sack every unperforming player or the man who is meant to gel them together into a team.
I've never heard so much reference to training in post match interviews than us this season.

I think bows is fed up, he’s gone from a team that fought to a bunch of charlatans0

I know I'll be slated if I talk about JS (at least I'll earn some lols), but from what I've read in other Charlton related biographies, as well as the books and articles he wrote, he totally believed that team spirit and morale was the way to get the best out of the players that he could afford to buy, (who often weren't world beaters).
He never berated players publicly. He never shouted at them. If he was unhappy with his players he would invite them to his office for a chat, ask them why they thought it wasn't working for them, and make suggestions of ways they could improve.
He also had a pretty fixed system and changed the team as little as possible. Pretty straightforward stuff, but it made the club one of the best in the country for a decent period of time.

As a manager or a supporter , no matter how the result goes, you should be able to rely on the players giving 100%.The oppo gave everything fought for every 50/50 and deservedly won.Agree 100% with Bowyers comments and appreciate his honesty.
The players let him and us down tonight.4 -

And then bollock them all you like on the training ground if that's what you think will get them performing better. Because your current tactic of calling players out in post match interviews is not working at all.
Also never publicly say you don't care if a player is seriously injured or not. That's nasty - and something I thought was not part of Bowyer anymore.

Using Trump in an argument is the new Godwin's law.2 -
Worrying performances for me tonight from players who have, can, and should play better.
Gilbey again absolute toilet but gets 90mins. He hides, plays safe balls sideways the whole game, just 'passes the buck'
Im one of Morgans biggest fans but he looked lost tonight, almost disinterested for a player who always wants the ball.
Pearce, still thinks wrestling players is an art.
Maatsen, so impressed to start with but just looks to be trying to avoid injury if you ask me recently.
Gunter 99 International caps but gets turned inside out by a league one winger every week.
Honestly there is no way back for me this season with the players we have, course I'll still watch every game just like the past 40 years but there has to be some (very) drastic changes this season for us to make top 6.
Positive - Deji played really well for me13 -

unfortunately the fallout from the demise of our team under LB are some of the worst divisions ever seen in our fan base. An petty name calling and arguments. We are living in a depressing troubled time (not LB,s fault) but our team imploding in front of our eyes every week, is adding to this agony, and I’m sure to the depression of some of our fans.2 -

I thought the same thing. Williams was a pale comparison to Millar and Maddison seemed off his game. In fact he managed to injure himself somehow and went through this whole distraught routine but it made me wonder if he just didn't want to be out there.
