Tonight we're back on the road to face Brazil ..... or at least that's who we made them look like at our place, as they mullered our midfield with a gameplan and guile that we had little match for.
We've seen a definite improvement in performance in recent matches, but despite a more balanced side, the results have not gone our way.
You know, sometimes you can't afford to squander gilt edged chances or get punished for every defensive lapse.
Lee Bowyer agrees:“We're close. We can't keep having the opportunities we're making and not scoring more goals. But we have to improve on the defensive side. We can't keep giving away sloppy goals and handing teams two-goal head starts. "You can say that again, Lee.
Injuries? Just both the 1st choice CBs and the Chelsea lad. Watson and Maddo could be added to the Matchday 18. Purrington has finally been promised a start. Red shirts/black shorts are our colours tonight.
Linky for the stream:
Supporters who are yet to purchase a pass for Tuesday's game can do so here.
Audio commentary from Terry & Greg will be available to Valley Pass subscribers in all countries as usual.
Don't forget the Scott Minto show, starring Curbs ...... starting anytime after 6.15pm.

What time does the ValleyPass show start Oggy
Your standards are slipping1 -
Going to be tough as they have almost 15 years of experience playing in front of no crowds. Hoping we can get back to winning ways before the end of the transfer window.23

You were really nice about it though!
If I'm running late, I'll post the thread.
And edit in the regular info after.

Forever was right.
It's like being married.

Poor lineup. Why did Bows take off Schwartz and Aneke on Saturday if they weren’t going to start today.8
-
Edit: Clive beat me to it0
-
looks like the diamond formation0

Is that a 4-5-1?0
-
I was about to post I bet purrington starts but I was 2 minutes too late0
-
Did not expect Gunter or Washington in such central positions.
Only positive is that LB has worked out Skip has lost it.1 -
Don't like that line-up at all. What has Albie got to do to start?2
-
Be interested to see where Pratley lines up
Although if he's being utilised in defence as part of a 3-5-2 Id question why he is starting and not Pearce0 -
Morgan for Pratley, otherwise it's alright.1

Could be a diamond, 4-5-1/-4-3-3 or flat 4-4-2, maybe even 4-2-3-1.0

Smart, eh?

2 big lumps up front. Both knocking it down to.....no one in particular.
Good thinking Bows.2 -
Would ha e had Aneke and Schwartz for Washington and Stockley and Watson for Pratley but ultimately it is the defence that looks weak and not a lot we can do about that.1
-
Changes again. Probably be more changes if we go behind again. Really thought Chuck's and Ronnie would get a little run together. Maybe bow doesn't feel it's a partnership that will work. Hoping for a good performance from Stockley but not really confident. Come on Charlton surprise me.0

Assuming:Amos;Matthews, Gunter, Oshilaja, Purrington;PratleyShinnie, F.Caskey,
Millar;
Stockley, Washington
I don't hate that at all. I'd have had Morgan in there, but we'll probably aim to utilise his fitness as others (Shinnie) tires.3 -
Probably after the recent goals against, keep it tight and then smash them in the second half1
-
Its time for revenge lads. Not for the result but getting played off the park.
Players, Coaches and Manager that refers to.1 -
I’d have played JFC at left back and Morgan in midfield.5
-
well i think LB has managed to make 4 changes to saturday's starting line up so h's still on for a season record - norris macwhirter on standby0
