Has Bowyer lost it?

Jessie said:Can someone give me a points per game chart? We may have been in top 6 for some time but.... we've played more games than all the other sides except Crewe. Our league position has been a disguise for how poor we've actually been. When the teams around us start to play their games in hand we'll drop even further down the table.... Just look at Doncaster and Accrington. They've played only 22 games, 4 less than us!I'm sure Bowyer is aware of the fact regarding number of games played. If he doesn't turn things around soon, it's definitely going to look very bad in a few weeks' time...

You put thought into being open and providing an honest, serious post, and then someone hits a laugh button. It’s really annoying and makes you think why bother posting. Disagree with the view, but don’t laugh. I’m sure you don’t mean for it to offend, but I know it winds me up so I’m sure it does others as well.
It’s hard enough posting through this when things aren’t going well as it is.
p.s Did you lol your own post AFKA?8 -
And at this stage of the season, it is not unknown for a team in 10th to rise to 6th. So the question is whether our chances of doing so are better with Bowyer managing or somebody else. Unless getting out of this league as soon as possible is not important.

If anyone disagree's with a post or has a different opinion ..... why not just respond by writing your own view?
In fact, I don't know why we even need 'like' or 'lol buttons ...... just another 'Facebook-type' gimmick; it often shows how divisive it can be, and an opportunity for people to be passive aggressive.
The old 'flag' button was got rid of because people abused it. Maybe 'like' and 'lol's should go the same way?

Pompey - 2 subs at HT
MKD
Swindon - 1 sub at HT
Posh
Bristol R
Rochdale - 2 subs at HT
Accrington - 1 sub at HT
Hull - 1 sub at HT
So far in 2021, in the 8 games we've made changes at HT FIVE times. Twice we've changed 2 players
There's something seriously wrong for this to be happening so many times, whether team selection, tactics or a manager who's struggling to find a winning team out of his squad13 -

Palace are a wonderful club with a magnificent kit, no gimmicks and fantastic fans.
If you disagree with me, you know what to do.8 -
If TS were to bring in an unknown Dane Or American, then under those circumstances I'd prefer Bowyer to stay, but I don't think that will happen.
I fully understand the sentimental value fans attach to Lee Bowyer, but I think he has lost his way & it's time for a change as everyone needs a lift. The mentality some on here have that it doesn't matter where we finish this season is crazy to me & I really don't understand it
Another thing that I think has worked in his favour is not having any crowds. Given recent home performances, I think the atmosphere at the Valley would be toxic right now & if TS had seen that, I think he would've already pulled the trigger

In the early part of the season when he had a fit squad we were flying high. We lost Gallagher, Field, Leko and Taylor. At one point we were down to playing something like our 11th and 12th choice midfielders. Any side would've struggled.jakecafc said:Chris_from_Sidcup said:jakecafc said:Croydon said:'He deserves time' is literally the only response anyone has for backing him.

Still feel it's harsh to judge him on last seasons results when so much went against us any more than i'd judge Chris Wilder for this season.1 -
Yes, I think we can underestimate the power of an angry crowd to influence an owner. Duchatelet sacked managers before the crowds got ugly but I can't see how fans could sit through what we have been dished up this season and not react negatively.2

Bowyer can count himself lucky that fans aren't allowed in at the minute. There would be more than a few grumblings these past few weeks at the full time whistle.6

Whatever we all think the rest of Feb is now huge.1

A few months ago, seems longer because of the results but the Bowyer threads were all concerned with him be poached and leaving to go elsewhere. Cardiff, Birmingham and laughably even Leeds. When was the last time a single person on here was worried about that happening. His star was rising but has since fallen like a stone. That tells you all you need to know about what’s happened to him and the performances. 23/72 is not the stats of a “one to watch” manager. I hate the continual harking back to Curbishley but when we were in a hole he made a public point of saying we go back to basics. Not once have I seen Bowyer adopt that stance. Instead he’s tinkered with players out of position and odd formations. He’s even failed to stick with formations that have worked well even one game ago. No idea what’s wrong but something definitely is. Lee didn’t really want to become a manager and perhaps deep down he still doesn’t now that those early successes have long gone. Perhaps he’s convincing himself one way or the other but there is definitely something not right.3

First time posting.
Going back to the title of the thread. I think what Bowyer has ‘lost’ is that spark and enjoyment. It comes across in his demeanour and is clear to see. Sadly it happens in this game at times.
I wish he could take a break and come back invigorated to start the ‘journey’ again. But that’s not an option without stepping back from the game entirely for a period.
I sincerely hope he can stop the rot and introduce a better style with the new signings, but if that doesn’t happen in the next 5 games I can see TS making the decision which for many is becoming an inevitability.28 -

We didn't enjoy watching the match last night. I don't suppose Thomas did either.
And it wasn't just the result.
Also, Thomas is paying for all this.
