Glad we won, but we still conceded 2 goals early in the game and had to come back again ,the top teams in the division will punish you for that, so still a dodgy performance.

5 games without defeat, Washington on fire and more importantly broke the curse of the woodwork by scoring from the Ricochet

The morale in the changing room will be so high after that. Brilliant comeback and fresh start in terms of management too.

Washington: "I'm not sure if that counts as a goal and an assist" :)

Forgetting the messy start, once we got into the game I thought we were good. Second half performance was one of the best of the season I think.

Washington was absolutely immense, as was JFC again. Morgan good, Pearce and Famewo solid. Chuks made a big impact and I thought DJ was a big improvement on Millar tonight. Really pleased for JJ.

Great skill from Conor to pass to himself off the post for the tap in. Goal and assist.

Especially difficult with those big balls swinging between his legs.

Great result and something to build on. I believe we also did something that we failed to do under LB - come back from two goals down to win.

At one point in the match I exclaimed aloud to myself 'this is even getting exciting' in surprise and laughed.
That says it all. What a turnaround. I thought that Shinnie, Washington and JFC were great tonight, and not because they scored the goals.

    Whos on the guitar lol
  • Great comeback but from reading some of the comments on tonight’s match thread it sounded like we should have been at least 4-1 down at halftime.

Chuffed for JJ and his boys but I’m not getting carried away quite yet.
To be fair and realistic we should have been up until Shinnie's goal there was only one team in it - Bristol Rovers were cutting through us with ease and Amos will struggle to let down that second goal of theirs but equally stopped it from being 4-1.

Thankfully the Shinnie goal came at the right time and gave us something to build upon as everything Rovers were doing right suddenly went wrong for them, almost like how we played @ Swindon earlier in the season

Sounded like guitar chords ringing out at the end of Washy's interview.

I guess that's TS and Jacko having a quick Zoom get-together.

Thought we looked pretty comfortable after Shinnie scored to be honest. Good 2nd half without being spectacular as Rovers completely ran out of steam. Washington, Shinnie and JFC all very good and DJ looked positive when he came on. Given  Pearce stick before but thought he was very solid as they started to pump balls into the box.

All in all a good game and great to get 3 points. If someone new does come in before the weekend at least Jacko will have an unblemished record!

Definitely some defensive issues to sort out there, they walked through us at times and could have been out of sight before our goal, but there was some serious fight and spirit there. We've got good players, so we'll have to see if fight and spirit is enough for the next 10 games. Nice to see Jacko win his first game as Charlton manager though, regardless of whether or not it's the first of many. Wish he'd been able to dive into the crowd to celebrate though

Is it me or does JJ sound a bit chocked up?

Sorry to rain on @golfaddick ‘s parade, but didn’t we come back from behind vs AFC Wimbledon this season?🤣

Jesus TS has a difficult decision ahead of him.
I reckon that he's made it already and it won't be JJ
