Still isolating with covid and feeling rough, when I had a delivery of handmade chocolates from 'Sylvia and Terry' chocolate shop in Dymchurch. My brother in Leeds sent them to cheer me up.

No worries, I dropped the photo because I’m aware some folk have little interest and may not be aware of the context the name “Bowyer” was being used. Sometimes I’m guilty of assuming everyone knows what we do, not only here but in the communities we try to visit it’s also something I’m very protective of purely because of the hard work that’s gone into building relationships with schools and care homes that could stop because someone in high places decides they don’t like our dogs.EugenesAxe said:

Being in Wigton in Scotland yesterday and there was a Brittany flag flying outside a building, my brother in law said I wonder what flag is there. I replied it was Brittany and my daughter didn’t believe me, so I said for her to google it and she said it was and it must be something to do with football, thanks Yann.4

My youngest is autistic, and she has a lot of trouble with new things.
Booked her into a summer activity camp for 3 days this week, was pretty certain she wouldn't go but wanted to try to let her go with her older sister.
She's gone all 3 days, and she's absolutely loved it (and is gutted she's not there on Friday!). It's been so nice to see her so enthusiastic about something rather than her anxiety holding her back.

We talked today about my dad’s ashes and we will be scattering some in the remembrance garden at The Valley, and some at the same place as my Mum’s.

What an amazing feeling seeing your kids overcome their fears and enjoy something!7 -
Our Granddaughter Millie sleeping over came to the fields to exercise the seniors, we had some fun on the playground rides at the same time as watching the dogs stretch their legs.

My daughter forwarded a copy of an email today sent to the organiser of a recent squash competition from the father of a boy called Jake about his encounter with my 10 year old grandson Leo.
Extract below made me glow.
"It was the first time Jake had played in a formal setting and it could have been quite an overwhelming experience for him. ........overall he enjoyed his day and had a positive experience.
In particular I wanted to highlight some sportsmanship by a couple of the players present.
Jake played Leo in his second game and I thought his sportsmanship was outstanding. He took time to find Jake and warm up with him and also explained some of the rules and scoring Jake wasn't familiar with. On Leo winning the game Leo was thoughtful enough to tell Jake how well he had played and to wish him luck. I thought Leo was an example of everything positive about sport and a credit his club and family."
I was there at the time and just to elaborate, poor Jake had tears in his eyes as he hardly scored a point. So what his father saw was the the empathy a 10 year old showed going out of his way to console poor Jake in some obvious distress.
