Complete angler is opposite the station. Never had a pool table. Can't think of the pub you are thinking of but then I would generally drink in my own locals. Have not missed a Charlton v Norwich game either home or away since moving to norfolk in 1988. Always made a big day of the games here in Norwich with my family and friends all coming up for the weekend. Many a drunken weekend and usually have won here apart from the one where Svennson scored in the last minute. Some very happy days though especially when Hunt got his hatrick. I also seem to recall Mending a getting a hatrick in an evening game? Who can forget super Bradley Allen's winner!HastingsRed said:

You all appear to be missing the point and that is I said I was shocked at the amount of posters hoping Norwich rest their first team and play their reserves so we have a chance of winning.
I am not looking forward to seeing any Norwich players in particular, all I hope is they do not send an under 21 side to play us however we live in a world were the PL and Sky is King so I won't hold my breath.
I suspect the same posters calling for the Norwich reserves will be whining on here when the game is not a sell out and only two or three sides of the ground are open.1 -
Yes, I hope to one day tell my children that I saw Tim Krul play at The Valley. I'm old enough to remember actually seeing Norwich's Grant Hanley play at The Valley for Blackburn, back in the golden days of, er, 2012. This is not a star-studded Norwich team. If we get our fingers out and perform to the level we should we'll be in the same division as them next season.eaststandmike said:

Got a 3rd round draw v an albeit unglamorous premier league club.
Should pack the valley for this otherwise it will be a bit hypoctitical to keep bemoaning our shite efforts in the cup.
Yes a glamour tie v a big club is what most of us want but it's the 3rd round of the best cup competition in the world and we've got a top flight side at home.
Pack the ground, get behind the lads and who knows the magic of the cup might see us nick it and get that big game at old Trafford in the 4th round (or huddersfield at home).5 -
How are only 2/3 sides of the stadium going to be open ? Top Premier league side or smaller lower league team are usually what fans want... If Norwich play their first eleven we will get well beaten.
Play their youngsters and we have a fighting chance.
That is all posters on here are saying.
Plus if we were to win the game we would have a chance of playing a real big premier club and Norwich are certainly not that.2 -

Really doubt there will be a big crowd, I predict between 12-15k.1
