    It would probably need to be a tenner to attract a bigger crowd, cant help but feel that it will be £15 as its prem opposition. 

    Im looking forward to it too, but I find that regular CL users tend to be a bit more enthusiastic about going to watch Charlton then the wider fan base, so I take what I read on here with a pinch of salt.

    Not sure if they will bother but we could give Norwich part of the east if demand warrants it. Technically we have to give them 15% but it rarely happens because of the police but i wouldn't exactly class Norwich fans as a risk

    We have been let down too many times over the years to expect a big crowd. Maybe if the make the 4th round and certainly if we could make the 5th round, loads of people would come, but for this I doubt it. Of course, to stand a chance of getting those bigger crows in the latter rounds we have to take this match really seriously as a club. I really hope we do for once.

    I remember a crowd of them coming into the Rose of Denmark. All dressed in Tweed, coloured corduroys, checked farmer shirts and country caps. One or two of them worked on the land but did say they had made a special effort to look like the yokels they are always portrayed as.

    I’d take that, bearing in mind it will be a real crowd of that size because of the ticket rules. Very hard to get all the ST holders to buy their seats.

    I'd like to see season ticket holders offered the free ticket for the Norwich game after bringing their mates for free to the league games.

    then do something like £15 for an adults ticket for anyone else

    When we were drawn out with only Arsenal, Norwich and Rotherham left, JJ and Thomas will have wanted Arsenal for a full house with 27k paying but it could have been Rotherham at home with 5k so Norwich is still good as we may hit 14k if they bring 3k as we hadn't reached the 3rd round in a decade as a 3rd tier club.

    Sort of reminds me of the 4th Round tie in 1984 against Watford. Hardly glamorous even if they did have a young John Barnes but over 22k pitched up. I even got my cousin to come with me and she was hardly a regular. There was something about FA Cup which caught the imagination.

    6k Watford there that day if memory serves me right.....John Barnes was on another level.

    When was the last 10k + home FA cup crowd? Late 00s?

    We had 8k at home for the 3rd round tie with Blackburn in 2015

    Remember that game - one of the rare occasions in those times that The Valley felt ‘full’ (ok I know it wasn’t and the capacity dwarfed the attendance, but you know what I mean - to put it into perspective, our home match that season against Oldham was 4,535, and vs Shrewsbury 3,786)

    It wasnt intended to be a direct comparison, it was the last example of a home cup game I could think of with all the stands open and a higher attendance then anything since.

    Last two times we were in the third tier and playing Premier League opposition, we sold out the away end at Fulham and the away end at Tottenham. I think there is some underestimation of the appetite from our fanbase for these kind of matches. Not to mention I'm sure a handful of #FillTheValley day trippers will jump at the opportunity to come back to watch Premier League opposition.

    Will we sell out the Valley? No. Will it be one of the highest gates of the season (promotional games aside)? Absolutely.

    If the ticket price is set right and if the weather isn’t terrible and it is really easy to buy on the day, then the general publicity around the FA Cup third round could lead to a healthy crowd.

    It was Forest not Rotherham.
