AEW can't sign them all.....Bobby Fish?Gargano, Chiampa and O'Reily hugged in the middle of the ring after Wargames. Are they all off? WTF? Reminds me when Bobby Rhoode and EC3 left TNA, it left no one worth watching.Surprised by Jeff, he was on The Broken Skull recently saying how that was all behind him now, he's been clean for years and I brought in to it.
If they sign everyone that the WWE release they will end up with the same problem. Adam Cole is already getting lost in the mix.
Cole was lost in the mix as soon as he joined The Elite. He's behind Omega and The Young Bucks in the pecking order.

The problem is there are too many people permanently on TV/Internet/any other way of watching it. Nothing is new and everyone is a star, no one is a super star.0 -

The guy in the middle may be the most talented of the three.

Because everything is accessible this generation has dozens, if not 100s, of Shane Douglaie.
Sometimes you will get people that are presented by one company and get over, then jumpship and get buried by the other, or via versa. Or some mid card guy that the other repackages and makes a star. Vader, Y2J and Taker are 3 pretty good examples of that.
Because of the Internet, and I remember the early Joe v Daniels ROH stuff, everyone is visible.
If you were Tony what do with Omega and Page over the next two years? Assuming Bryan in the champ?
Its easy booking people on the way up, how do you keep them relevant on the way down without making them look weak? The easiest way is for them to go away for a year, 18 months, 2 years. But where?0 -

I disagree that Cole is lost in the shuffle on AEW. Whilst it’s not possible to have him, and a bunch of others, in the main event picture at all times - he’s still being used every week. AEW have a brilliant problem in the sense that their mid-card is still very strong.
They’ve planted the seed for future angles (ie - Kenny Omega) and have teamed him up with one of the most recognisable tag teams on the show. Don’t see what the issue is really.
“Lost in the shuffle” in WWE terms would be having them completely missing for about 2 months with a completely watered down version of their potential best. What AEW are doing is much, much better. Hence why such names are willing to jump ship in the first place.0 -
Also, just watched Rampage.
Hook looked awesome…He was ‘over’ before he had even started his first match and before he has even said a word live on air. Good way to introduce a young talent and build up the mystique around him slowly.2 - Sponsored links:

In a week when one of the best agents of all time passed, it's telling that they agent their own matches. Mud show. Outlaw. Cos playing. Mother fuckers.1 -
I assume by best tag team you mean FTR? If so i am in full agreement.1

As far as mainstream televised wrestling goes, AEW is as strong as anything in the last twenty years.
As for Adam Cole - I think they’re doing the right thing by just letting him be Adam Cole for now. Get the juice out of his presence for a bit before moving him into an intricate program. I think it’s clear he will have some sort of clash with either Omega or Page and there will be a ton of storytelling they can lean on if need be.0 -

It's like watching 2 different shows, even JR mentioned it live on air after the Punk MJF segment the other week. The stuff with Punk, Bryan, MJF, most of Derby's stuff, FTR in the ring holds up to any wrestling TV ever. It's not quite Rock Austin but it's very very good.
Then it's an hour of trash, every week. There is enough talent there to do it better. Its obvious no one ever says no, no one produces the segments. It's the "talent" doing what they want. Neither RAW nor Nitro were 2 hours of gold every week but neither of them were as bad as this gets. Quite often they weren't as good as this gets either.
I don't watch RAW or Smackdown anymore, I do watch Dynamite most weeks, or at least try. So I am not a "WWE fan boy". The good is soooo good, the bad is fucking awful. There is still more bad than good, even though the bad does contain some obviously talented people. Just get Arn, Tully, Dustin and Chavo to agent segments and the whole thing would improve by 100% and those people that watched Punks debut, 25% of who don't watch it now, would soon come back.2 -

I don’t adore the likes of The Young Bucks, Jungle Boy or Christian - but they’re watchable. The only ‘big’ name they have which I find a little bit cringeworthy is Orange Cassidy, who is on TV too much.Modern televised wrestling does need to be a bit of a variety show. That means some things will work for some viewers and others won’t.And as good as FTR are, if everything on the show looked and acted like them then people would tune out in their droves. Great wrestlers and all, but to the untrained eye they are bland.0 -
I haven't seen this weeks yet, but I can't wait for next week's Dynamite.0

Too many people that shouldn't be on TV doing goofy shit that involves people that should be on TV doing serious stuff. Take the tag division, you have got 3 of the best tag team wrestlers ever in the company, use them to help agent the tag matchs, teaching them the rules would be a start.
The other issue is that someone either doesn't understand the difference between being over with a small audience and being "over" or doesn't think its important. It's almost like they work on the bases that everyone that debuts is automatically over.0 -
