11-1 after 10 overs.
Warner 1 (26)
Labuschagne 6 (7)0 -
Lucky git Warner,0

We're playing well, Warner can't get going.
Only downside is we've already lost 2 reviews.
Our over rate is slow again though.1 -
I noticed this in the last test and just seen it again now. I wonder if it’s worth Buttler throwing the stumps down when labushagne leaves. He does this movement every so often where he steps forward and swings his bat around. Back foot does come out by quite a bit.2

We'd better get on with it because overs 80-90 could be absolutely vital with the new ball under lights.

At the current rate, we won't even get to 80.Addickted2TheReds said:Chris_from_Sidcup said:We're playing well, Warner can't get going.

Broad is getting the ball to swing in this second spell. He’s just beat Labuschagne’s bat four times in a row with it.0
-
Broad very unlucky in that over, beat Labuschagne 4 times.1

st. Buttler b. Anderson would be quite a trophy.0 -
45-1 from 25 overs from the first session.
40 minute break and then back at it.0 -
We could have bowled slightly fuller but we offered them very little with no swing on offer.Well played England, Warner and Labuschagne. Great battle.0

25 overs is so slow1

Woke up and saw Aus 42-1. For a terrible second I assumed we batted first and were all out and I was catching the start of the Aus reply!7

Oh Jos
Think we've proabably just seen the difference between Buttler diving to his left and his right.Labuschagne dropped on 21.3 -
Everything warner does, his face, the way he moves, his walk, that stupid way he twirls his bat and puts it under his arm for every ball, every fucking movement makes him look like an arrogant arse and I hate him.9
-
Yep ..he didn't have the confidence/ability to take that with his left hand..should have been a good catch rather than a spectacular dropAddickted2TheReds said:Oh Jos

Totally agree but he is everything we could do with at the top of the order

Reading between the lines, am I correct in saying you don't like him? 😂cantersaddick said:Everything warner does, his face, the way he moves, his walk, that stupid way he twirls his bat and puts it under his arm for every ball, every fucking movement makes him look like an arrogant arse and I hate him.1 -

Cant bat in England? Exactly the same as our openersAddickted2TheReds said:cantersaddick said:Everything warner does, his face, the way he moves, his walk, that stupid way he twirls his bat and puts it under his arm for every ball, every fucking movement makes him look like an arrogant arse and I hate him.

Robinson really is just putting the ball there - a 77mph stock ball with it not swinging isn't going to offer any threat whatsoever1

From The Guardian's coverage of today's test, a comment from a reader:
“I have a lovely memory of taking my very bright eight-year-old son to the 1994-95 Ashes game at Adelaide Oval,” writes Don. “An English batter hit a ball racing to the boundary with the Aussie fielder chasing it. The crowd was calling out and he asked me why. I said because they are encouraging him to get the ball. He looked at me and said, ‘But surely he is already running as fast as he can.’”

Shane Warne over the course of one over in commentary goi g from”Wack him out the ground” to “Just hang in there” the game can ebb and flow, but not that quickly.2
-
Warne is just a complete knob of a commentator. Spent 5 mins saying they had to hit root out the attack then warner almost plays on and he says "not long till the break just play him out and get through, don't get out to the part timer"2
-
Didn't we get fined for slow over rates after the first test ?Chris_from_Sidcup said:25 overs is so slow0 -
It’s been a grind but Aussies batting to the conditions and trying to be risk averse … proper test cricket0
