Yes, it’s true…….I kid you not.🧐1 -

I think Defoe can still do a job in League One, plus, I imagine he'll have a positive impact on Burstow, Kanu et al. It's a yes from me.1

Fits our profile for expierenced player I guess
"Can you pay me to move back to/ stay around London and Kent please"9 -

A strike duo of Lyle Taylor and Defoe would be interesting wouldn't it
I would not be surprised to see Defoe heading back towards London if nothing more than to be a Sky Sports / TalkSport pundit as it seems to be the done thing now. Playing at Charlton as a player/coach/broadcaster1 -

I am sure this has been asked before but there is something that has always bugged me about the Lyle Taylor situation. Firstly, I am exactly in the same camp as the majority on here, he should have played to his contract, the thing I have always wondered is, was the reason he ducked due to the people we had in charge at the time, quite simply the biggest bag of shitbags to darken ours or anyone else's door. I have asked myself if I was in his shoes what would I have done, would I go out and play for those people?6

Three weeks into the window and not a realistic rumour to be seen, oh well, another slow limp towards the finishing line it is, any league two freebies on the horizon anybody...0

I assume you wouldn't have played Dave, and Elliot yes that's exactly what he did but, and we can never second guess, what if TS was in charge then ? also we weren't relegated when he made that decision, in fact we could have had a very good chance of getting out of it if he had played, as I say we will never know.0

He was wrong, it was handled badly, he shouldn't have done it and not playing those 3 games was wrong.
But whilst I don't agree with it I can see why he did it.1 -

Unless I've missed something, are these rumours around Defoe & Lyle due to Stockley's injury being worse than we'd hoped ?0

He owed us NINE games not 3. It was a once in a lifetime situation which cause the football season to extend beyond the 30th June date when lots of contracts expire, morally he should have stayed for the 6 games after 30th June as well as the 3 games beforehand.
As for the owners, that's neither here nor there. You're playing for the club, which is far bigger than the current owners.8 -

Defoe - plugged by talksport and wants to be in close to Bond street
Taylor - spotted in a Mcdonalds in Eltham or so, probably before seeing his onlyfans clients0 -

Seems to me that work is being done, just fairly low key.3 -
