I can only imagine you are on a wind up as there is Zero % chance that we will make the play offs. I stake my reputation on it.

We are closer to the relegation places than top 6. We currently have very little up front , wingers who cant cross & midfielders who don't score.

Posted 10 days ago & today had just firmed up my opinion. Might push it out to be finishing 10th to 12th. 

We are actually in a bit of a false position due to most teams having played less games than us. Lose to Wimbledon on Boxing Day & with their games in hand they could be above us soon, along with 2 or 3 other teams. 

Our points tally will be around 68-70 points.

Every time I post I have to backtrack & predict an even worse finishing position. 

First time I said between 8th & 10th 

Then I said between 10th & 12th

Now I'm saying 10th to 14th. 

Now thinking 12th to 16th. 

With the next 4 games we have, i honestly don't see us getting many points if our 3 main strikers are still injured. Then we'll be looking over our shoulders at the bottom 4 again.

Been giving this some thought this morning. The fact we are so far off the play offs at this stage is under performance of huge proportions. 

I try not to be reactive after a bad one but most concerning thing for me was the attitude as soon as we conceded. It was always going to be difficult given those absent, but it was very clear there was an accepting ‘season over, little fight mentality’ throughout.

That then leads to petulance & ill discipline. The season is over, but that doesn’t justify half heartedness in Feb. Not many players will be waking with sore muscles this morning like they were 2 months ago when competing with Rotherham, beating Sunderland, Plymouth etc…

There’s still 14 games, we need to see the increased effort that was evident in the post-Adkins transition. Players show they want to be here next season & good enough to go for promotion. 

Our fans will never accept mid-table L1 as being acceptable achievement for our club. I’m fed up with our club being in what feels like a permanent state of disappointment and toxicity but we’ll still never be accepting of that.

If offered that as our end of season finish, i'd take that right now. My fear is we drop even lower over the next few weeks.

if we get 36 from 12 and make play-offs can we all agree to call it an "Ultra Golfie" ??

Even with my rose-tinted specs on, right now I can't see us even getting near that!

He was convinced we would be top 2, although I said it was virtually impossible.
Even then I said we needed top 2 form to snatch 6th place. 

A couple of months ago a mate of mine who posts on here bet me 100 quid we would make the playoffs. 
I won't take the money as he's a mate but the blind faith some of our fans have at times is staggering.

To be fair we had no reason not be optimistic given we invested a lot money and we are a big club in this division, I don’t think we should under emphasise just much we underachieving 

I agree that we are a big club in this division. 
I also agree we are underachieving. 
My point is that this present bunch of players are mainly shite and until we have a major overhaul we are going nowhere. 

Can’t see it now. But I’m sure the boys will give it all they’ve got.

It's doable. I suspect a lot depends on what happens off the pitch, so while I hopeful I'm not excited about our prospects.

Given ourselves to much to do I imagine.

Another 2 difficult games coming up. Somehow get 4 points from that, then I’ll change my mind a little bit.
