We’re 13 points behind Wycombe, with a worse goal difference. If we were in seventh place I’d think we might have a chance, except that I think Wycombe are possibly better than us.Trouble is, Wednesday, Plymouth, Ipswich and Bolton are above us, and I can’t see none of them staying there.0

I hate to get all petty on you, but their GD is 8 goals better than ours. In order to overturn a 13 point deficit, we’d need to win 4 and draw 1 while they lose 5. That would mean a minimum of a 9 goal swing so, while I agree the prospect of overhauling them is extremely unlikely, the goal difference is not a factor in this at all.JamesSeed said:We’re 13 points behind Wycombe, with a worse goal difference. Wycombe have a far easier run to the end of the season as well. We need to pretty much go unbeaten to do it and I can't see it happening.0

No way as we are still a work in progress and I don't need any more memories of play off finals personally; I don't want that tainted.
Much rather we go up in 1st or 2nd place next season when we thank Watson, Gunter, Pearce, ( staying as coach and should still be number 5, CB) and at least 6 others, who don't even make the bench. We try to promote some of the U23, Deji, Kanu(probably sold without making debut) and who ever our coaches feel can step up.
How we attract players to Cafc in the 3rd tier unless they have flaws or we take a punt on a player from lower down is anyone's guess.

Regardless of points required and games played blah blah blah....if we win tonight and Oxford fail to get a result and we then beat Oxford at home, they will be looking over their shoulder!! It is a big if but not beyond the realms!0

Would love for it to happen, but I don’t see it happening IMO. I do think we will finish above Plymouth which would have been unthinkable back when we played them in November.Callumcafc said:

I agree with your comment on injury risk etc but I'm always more confident when we play what should be tough teams, with this group of players as they seem to play far better, it is when we play teams we should easily beat we seem to struggle so perhaps a run of difficult fixtures is what we need. Yeah I completely agree, we seem to prefer playing teams that come at us and take more risks. I just don’t think we’ve got it in us make up a 13 point gap - has anything like that ever been done at this stage of the season?AndyG said:
