Win two games on the spin and this thread gets a bump. Lose a few on the bounce and are we getting relegated thread makes an appearance. Charlton fans/critics are damaged beyond repair ? Well I'm !
JJ has done a fantastic job in a short time. He overachieved as caretaker and the reality of having too many erratic players was always going to stop us reaching the play off plus Inniss the doorman( "no attackers, you are not coming into our area") is unlikely to even play as many as 13 games that he reached plus Stockley at league 1 level is a big miss, attacking and defending set pieces.
If we are going to get back to the Championship at the end of next season 22/23 then the Journey has to continue from when JJ first picked the team against Sunderland to the last game of this season.
Won 8 lost 4 drew 3 In the league is magic when you consider we were in 22nd place.
Despite that impressive record we are still bogged down in 15th place with a game in hand which from memory would be Gillingham ?
We win a game, against our only regular whipping boys, who on reports could of been beaten by a bunch of asthmatic one legged Chelsea pensioners on Monday night AND it's back on apparently.
While I admire the optimisn of a few on here, please go and get your bumps felt.
1. Too inconsistent. 2. Too injury prone. 3. Lack of quality in key areas, defence, midfield and attack (the trifactor!). 4. No real backbone or bollox. 5. No leader on the pitch.
I will leave it there, as I am off hunting unicorns at the end of rainbows...
Castillo bombing down the left, Fraser pulling the strings in midfield, a supremely confident Burstow banging them in, JFC and Stockley to come back in, it's still on!

For a second I thought you were referring to our previous win against Fleetwood until you said Monday night… :-)
Back to back league wins, I think I smell the start of a run of form.
i don't think we will make the play offs but i think this window has been good and if lavelle and stockley are available soon we will have a very strong end to the season - we can then discard some more dead wood in the summer, add again and i think next season could be very good
I think what makes it unlikely is the fact we are not free scoring. We do score in most games of course, but it is just a bit too hard for us to score to see us going on a run. If the signings changed that, well it is possible. Stockley is key too and we don't know when he will be coming back.
I have to refer to Golfie on this. I think the commentator on Monday mentioned that Pompey have only come from behind once and won this season and they have the same problem as us. The teams that can do it gain confidence and go on runs. EIther that or they are so tight defensively, they don't concede goals.
But there are enough games to go that it shouldn't be written off all together.

11 wins - 6 draws - 1 defeat
12 wins - 3 draws - 3 defeats
13 wins - whatever
It's back on!
Bollocks is it.
It won't help the players if they prematurely genuinely start thinking we can make a play off push. That mentality will have an opposing affect.
Hope they just keep winning and play for pride. Keep chins up.
Best to look at the league table if we go on an unbeaten run from now up until the 40th league fixture.
I think by the end of the season, we will finish being 5 or 6 points off from the playoffs.
At least we most likely won't get relegated now.
If Adkins had stayed, the club would already be dead an buried to a league 2 graveyard.
No amount of speculation today can change that.
Spot on Oggy, Oggy, Oggy.

Until we get rid of the dross and build a squad with players that can play roughly the same week in week out we are going nowhere.
Beat Wimbledon, Bolton & Oxford over the next few weeks and I might actually start looking at Ipswich on the last day as being an important game
NO!!!!

Etc etc.
But not this season

Home games against Wimbledon, Gillingham, Burton, Lincoln, Morecambe and Shrewsbury are all must wins.
