Awful penalty. That's why Connor isn't good enough for a promotion push, squad player at best
He's our top scorer in the League? - Look at the rest first perhaps
Top scorer in our worst ever team. He's  not good enough to lead a top 2 push. I don't see how that's a controversial opinion

    Just scuffed a sitter too
You could also argue that being top scorer in our "worst ever team" is a damn site harder than being top scorer for Liverpool or Man City. I don't think it's a controversial opinion but I think saying it because he missed a penalty was an unusually stupid post from you.
It's not based purely on the penalty though. Just happened to say it after he missed the pen
Fair enough, just poorly worded then because you literally said "that's why he isn't good enough".
Yeah fair, can see how it would look

Yeah not Washington's day on that effort.

Stockley laid it on a plate for him.

Some of us can see his faults and what he brings...
Not sure it was on a plate, was behind hin.
SSN: Stockley played it late which enabled the defender to get to Washington

This all sounds dreadful I'm thinking about going back to bed.

We should sign Washington up for next season. He offers a lot more than goals. Can't believe we're still having the "he's rubbish" debate. He's not perfect, but he's a good League One player.
    Night, night, SD. Sleep tight.

It's been pretty much Charlton for this first half hour.

Just not been clinical with our chances.

    FYI... Washington's penalties for us:

Scored: Doncaster | Oxford | Northampton | Peterborough | Fleetwood
    Missed: Gillingham | Doncaster
That's not a great record though. If he misses 2 out of every 7 he takes.
    About the same as Messi...

How did Stockley not score that? Worse than Washington's.

We've had 5 shots, 3 on target, 2 corners and a penalty missed.

    25 mins gone
Think they're looking sightly sharper and marginally better than previous weeks tbh, CBT and Gilbey seem to be putting in a fair shift so far.

But Doncaster at the back look woeful

We've been better since Washington came back, but if we can find a better striker, we should sign him. I don't think anyone would disagree with that?
We should sign that better striker and keep Washington. We need a squad.

    They send men up
It comes in, but mac claims and releases.
Donny throw deep in their half.

At least it sounds like we're playing football. Wasn't long ago we weren't even getting in positions to shoot.

Our great forward line showing why we are in the bottom half of the table. If we don't buy a proper 20 goal striker next season we will still be has beens

30' Half an hour gone at the Eco-Power Stadium. The Addicks have been on top but a host of chances have come and gone and it's still goalless. #drfc 0 #cafc 0
  • Argh... Good quick release from Macca when collecting a corner... Gives it to Fraser who carries it into the opposition half... Then puts a pass behind Dobson, ending up as a Donny throw

Washington and Stockley showing why we are in the bottom half of Division 3.
No doubt this useless Doncaster team will score in a minute.

Needs 10 penalties to score one.

    Washington all over that one.
Are you just going to be a constant man child and lol! at posts all the time?

Because usually when I call you out, you seem to struggle to find a genuine response!!

    Pathetic
Being the top scorer in a lower midtable League One side doesn't make him a world-beater sorry.
Or it's not his fault we're a lower midtable club? That's a response to criticising the club, not the player.
I would say a more clinical striker would help us move up the table.

For example a better striker, even ignoring the pen, would have us 1-0 up based on that simple chance just now.
I don't disagree that Washington could be more clinical, but he also brings a lot to the team. If we had a better goalscorer next to Stockley I don't think it would mean we'd be a better side.

What will happen first? Charlton score or England take the last wicket?

If nobody saw Conor miss the penalty, did he actually miss the penalty? Indeed did the penalty exist?
I saw it on Sky. Almost as bad as Michael Gray.

We approach on left, CBT stopped, but donny clear to clare, we come again, but goes through to keeper, just, in the end.

    We should be 3 up

poor finishing so far.  Get one and we’ll win this comfortably but the longer we don’t score….well we know what will happen

could do with a midfielder chipping in with a goal today
