    400-5

Our two best bowlers over the course of the last few seasons have really struggled more than most - Stevens has figures in the CC of 89-18-274-2 and Milnes are 121-19-445-4. That's 6-719 combined. Even the returns of our best bowler, Gilchrist, wouldn't make him a certainty to get in the team last season but with 131-15-548-14 he is King in the Land of the Blind!
  • terrible figures! how much of it has it been pitches being flat though? I can’t work out if we really are as bad as the figures suggests or we have been playing on the m25. Not entirely sure what we can do or who is to blame for this !

Curran and Overton not hanging about and make sure we get the extra batting point. Still Plenty of batting to come with CDG owing Surrey a decent innings and Jordan Clark having already hit a ton this season.

    Foakes. Overton.
    All out in the 90s
Doesn't happen very often that three batsmen make 90 and none go on to make a ton.

Kent have a similar competition - who will be first to 100 runs conceded?

    Milnes - 98
    Stevens - 94
    Quinn - 99
    Gilchrist - 99
    Linde - 97

Every div 1 game has got massive first innings scores, all hail the ECB for improving batting techniques so quickly

It's a bit like the England team bowling in Australia. No pace, no wickets!

4 div 1 games currently in progress. In 3 of them the team batting first has gone past 500. In the other game Lancashire are currently 461-4

Good for confidence of the batting talent in this country I suppose but it's a shame to see that the criticism of pitcches was taken so strongly. There must be a better balance to be had here.

I've seen a tug boat move faster than de Grandhomme. Not that I would say that to his face!

All I've managed to find is this:

A new record was established last winter, in the Super League stages of India's Ranji Trophy, when Madhya Pradesh made 605 against Haryana at Rajnandgaon. The highest individual score was Jai Prakash Yadav's 90. The record had stood since 1899, when Nottinghamshire totalled 581 against Derbyshire at Derby. The highest score then was also 90 - by William Gunn.

609 was the old record, set by Namibia against Uganda in 2010

This Beckenham wicket is nowhere near good enough for red ball cricket.
Unless Kent completely fold it would take about 6 or 7 days to get a result.
