    I am not sure anyone is assuming this as Kirk plays almost exclusively on the left and DJ is best on the right side of the pitch.  I don’t see them as direct competition.  The main things I am taking from the team selection is that 1) Garner sees Kirk more as a reserve so would expect a wide forward who can play on the left being his primary transfer target 2) Albie is ahead of Gilbey on the depth chart so you might be happy if your least favorite midfielder is potentially on the way out.  I wouldn’t be too worried about Dobson.  My guess is he wants to get McGrandles some time against tougher competition (maybe 45 min) but that George will be our starting holding mid when the season starts

    Obviously. Playing well is something DJ hasn’t really ever done. I’m not going to get too excited he’s having a half decent game tonight
