Oscar Piastri will be driving for Alpine next season.

And that's no real surprise1

Fully deserved , would have been a travesty if after his junior career if he didn't get a seat.

Alonso moving on has probably made the market so much easier now.
Now who gets Latifi's seat, as realistically thats the only spot left0 -
Should put Lando in a decent car , see what damage he could do.
Let Hamilton go to ferrari, Lando and Russell for Mercedes, exciting prospect. I like Hamilton just feel Lando would do well in one of the top cars1 -
Again, unless McLaren are willing to pay a load of compensation to Ricciardo and possibly to Alpine, as well as possibly doing the same in America too, then go them, but somehow I can't see it happening2

I reckon that's Logan Sargeant given he's running FP1 in Austin and barring an absolute catastrophe should have 4th in F2 sewn up by then to give him his SL1 -

I actually thought THAT was parody when I initially saw it0 -
Don't know if it's true but my son has just told me that Alpine had an option to sign Piastri for next year but that expired on Sunday.1

What on earth were Alpine thinking posting that? Makes them look like a bunch of amateurs.4 -

Neither are worded exactly the same - But they sound very alike... Piastri to Mclaren / Ricciardo to Alpine?
Bet Esteban Ocon feels bloody secure now, would love to see who takes the spare Alpine seat now
Zhou back to Alpine... Pouchaire to Alfa?1 -
Alonso on his hols with some nice subtle shithousery watching all this go off LOL!

That Alpine seat all of a sudden becomes very interesting, would they try to buy Gasly out of Alphatauri potentially?1

Or the latter is joined by Ricciardo as the experienced mentor0 -
What gets me is that 38 minutes after Piastri posts as blatant a denial as you can get, the Alpine tweet is still there.1

After the last couple of days it's difficult to predict, with any certainty, who is going to fill what seat in F1. Plenty of time for more twists and turns.1 -

Well that didn't work.1 -
So are McLaren just going to sign about 20 drivers and just draw names out of a hat for each team?
"And our Formula E team will consist of....... LANDO NORRIS AND UGO UGOCHUKWU!!!!!!"1 -

I just don't get it. I know bar Ugo they don't have an academy setup like most teams do , but this is just so muddled and doesn't seem to have any real thinking behind it.
Norris and Piastri would be a very fun F1 lineup and a great test for Oscar really to see how good he actually is.
The Indycar debacle I don't know what's going on there , Palou being sued isn't really a good look for anyone and Rosenqvist has said he wants to stay in Indycar and not return to FE as the plan seems to be (who knows??)
Quite where all this leaves Danny Ric I don't know? He's hardly going to go to Williams , but this would be a sad way for him to leave F1.
Zak Brown has tried to be too clever and it's not worked out as he expected I think.1
