Albie's workrate has never been the problem. Positional discipline though is fair.SDAddick said:
I suspect this is quite tongue-in-cheek, but I would argue the old Albie is really more one who disappears for long stretches and lacks positional discipline and workrate. Albie has covered loads of ground today, his pressing has been excellent, and he's made some good runs off the ball...including as I write this.ForeverAddickted said:Reassuring to see the old Albie Morgan still exists... Couple of poor balls between him and Clayden2 -
This is the Albie Morgan that first broke into the team and did so well he started a playoff semi final. I think a few people have forgotten what an exciting prospect he was then. Making me very happy to see that self belief coming back to him.4

Oh Kirk, if only he had stayed onside, lovely one / two between him and Clayden otherwise0

Post update
Jayden Stockley (Charlton Athletic) wins a free kick in the defensive half.

I want to see Ben Watson with his hands on his knees.5

Another Plymouth sub.
Azaz off, Jephcott on.1 -
Kirk and Clayden combining nicely down the left but the cross in to Stockley is inconclusive as the offside flag's gone up.

What does a left back look like? If Clayden can grow in that position with his pace he could have a better career than someone like Purrington.SDAddick said:
Agreed but he doesn't look like a LB, at least not at this point. And to be fair, he's not. Believe he's played exclusively as a winger throughout the youth teams and it's only been in the senior side that he's played at fullback.DartfordAddick said:Think Clayden has looked really good going forward too
It does kind of remind me of Alfie Doughty, although I believe Doughty did play some fullback at youth team level. But when he came into the side it was as an emergency wingback/fullback. I don't think Clayden has quite the upside that young Alfie did, but he's shown there's something to build on there.0 -

Post update
Offside, Charlton Athletic. Charles Clayden tries a through ball, but Charlie Kirk is caught offside.

I really like Fraser. I think people underestimate him as he never does anything flashy, but he definitely keeps it ticking over in the middle and is the exact sort of player we need.

Very true, but they're also asked to press and defend one-v-one quite a bit as well, especially the LB. I don't think Clayden has that consistently enough at this point. I don't think it's controversial to say we need another LB.Rothko said:

Sorry, I'm not meaning to be overly harsh on him, he's had a solid game all around. This is his, what, third or fourth league game? I just don't think he's ready to be a LB just yet. And that's fair enough.0 -
Fraser reminding me of Shinnie a bit today.6

Fraser plays JRS forward, ball to Clare who attempts a backheel which doesn't quite come off, but Plymouth have to clear for our throw.

Subs getting ready for Charlton0

Could've sworn the ball had gone out as Dobson tackled the Plymouth player near the halfway line, but apparently not.

This has become a very good opportunity for McGrandles to get minutes2

56' Jephcott is on and tasked with playing as a link man between midfield and attack. 3-00

Erm whose going right back?1 -
If he can grow in that position, improve his positioning and one-v-one defending, then he'll be quite a good left back. I know you wrote this before I posted my last comment, but I would say he's simply not there yet. But with a chalk on your boots left footed winger, left back is a good option for him in the future. I just don't think today is the best marker given we've largely been on the front foot and spent about half the match to this point playing against 10.Scoham said:
