I saw on ITV them saying Prince Harry was no longer a member of the Royal family. He is a member of her family and they should shut up. It is an issue when they feel the need to talk when they have said what they know and they just talk inanely on and on when they know no more than we do. There is nothing gained in doing this and if sadly there is a development then report it.

I’m watching BBC and they have filmed the family driving into Balmoral - now showing a freeze frame of Andrew and Edward in a Range Rover both looking very unhappy indeed - it’s awful isn’t it - at a time of great worry about your mother, the world is filming you

If that happened to me when I went to Darent Valley Hospital in 2017 knowing that my Dad was going to pass away within hours, I would have poleaxed the cameraman for intruding on a very personal moment in my life

I know they live their lives in the public eye, but that freeze frame was a bridge too far for me - inappropriate in the extreme
that and nicholas witchells frankly bizarre and horrible gossiping about the queen's health earlier, I think they're going to get a lot of complaints about their coverage. I expected far better from the BBC on the possible death of our monarch.
It is that sort of thing that makes me hope that she hasn't passed. They surely, surely wouldn't be as poor as they have been if they knew that she died?!

And they literally just said “these are private family moments” while zoomed in on Prince William driving…oh the irony.
The BBC’s coverage of this - and probably lots of other news channels (haven’t seen any other channels) should be called out big time for that Range Rover freeze frame - British media at its worst

I never expected to feel such a tremendous sense of loss. I feel extraordinarily sad.

They just shouldn't have it on, it's ghoulish having a rolling news show about whether someone is dead yet.

Led to believe he's referred to the Queen is the past tense several times, which whether she's passed away already or is very ill is terrible.

Just have the statement on the news until there is actually any more news.

She hasn't died yet. Of course we can take it she is seriously ill and at her age the day will come sooner rather than later but it doesn't mean it will be today, this month or this year.

Because there are protocols that have to be followed before it is announced to the public. Including informing leaders in commonwealth countries for example.

I find it odd that the men are already wearing black ties. it doesn't take long to change a tie if the bad news comes.

It is shocking mate - yeah ok I am watching it, so I could be called out for that, but it’s a huge moment in our country’s history - whether you are a Royalist or not

The same men are saying as far as they know she is seriously ill.

Did you read my post? They have a set protocol to follow ' operation London Bridge' it does appear its in motion but i hope its wrong and purely speculation, although first hand one of my friends said she has and heard from someone who works in sky news.

Not trying to be rude to you mate, but if I had a pound for every time I heard the queen had died over the past few years, even from people "in the know" I'd be able to buy Buckingham Palace.

I was in the grounds of Windsor Castle yesterday, helping at a party hosted for the Royal Household workers and their families, met a bunch of interesting characters with fascinating jobs (Clockmaker of the Royal Household, for instance) and the mood of everyone there was so upbeat, and happy. I'm just glad for their sake the party wasn't due to be today
  • The Coronation was mint.  Felt like a party for your favourite auntie.

They keep showing that photo.. I don’t want my license fee going to that dickhead who snapped a photo of some one going to say goodbye to their mum and grandmother.

Took a peak at ITV seems all the royal family have made it to Balmoral with the exception of Harry who is still on his way

Why would they not announce it if she had passed? Of course she hasn't passed and people should not be speculating she has.
Do you know anything about the process that they’ll go through when she does die? I personally don’t think she has yet but there are plenty of reasons for not announcing it immediately when it does happen.

My point is that people shouldn't be speculating that she has. A BBC journalist has already had to apologise for wrongly doing so. Out of respect we should wait for the next announcement and react to that.

My dad was a member of the congregation of our local church, as an atheist I only attend it on Remembrance Sunday and weddings etc. But due to me being a fire-fighter I have been volunteered to be the flag pole monitor, I have my instructions and await the sad news.

It's being shown on all stations and CNN in the States, I guess the photo was syndicated ans is being used by every media outlet. If the BBC didn't show it, other people would say they are behind everyone else!
As for the 'special news' programe, it appears its pre planned by 'London Bridge' however as she is in Scotland it is known by a different name - 'Unicorn'

If the Queen dies in Scotland they'll move to Operation Unicorn.
