Eek! Col come down our left and the cross whizzes in and beats everyone despite a dramatic leap from Harness.

DJ down after a strong challenge from Judge. The ref didn't find Judge guilty of an offence though.
Clean looking tackle, think it was more the landing that was a problem.

Josh Umerah scoring for Hartlepool. 6th of the season. Should sign him 😉😀
    Still 1 behind Omar Haaland

We're passing the ball about to run down the clock by the looks of it.

Thomas looks good, as does chin.
    JFC looks beyond unfit

    Decent enough half that.

    Thomas has looked very comfortable.

McGrandles doing a JFC of old and finding himself at left back a lot.

JFC of new looking very good on the ball.

Would like to see Payne and CBT in the game a little more.

  • Enjoyable enough first half.

Our midfield is interesting. Morgan having one of those games where he looks the complete midfielder ; Forster Caskey putting in a really good shift that just makes it absurd he can't get a look in in the league team; and poor old McGrandles still looking like he's won a prize to play in the team.

Should be a comfortable win provided we don't ease up.

Looks well short of "match fitness" but did you miss the long pass from our left back position then in the next phase he made two tackles on our right wing?

Some nice play and the defence as a whole looks good, but Payne and McGrandles a waste of space. CBT also disappointing and DJ injured. So not much good news for the first team. JFC a class act, but Sandgaard won't pay his wages so no first team for him.

Clare booked for pointing out to the lino that he might have got it wrong...
such a soft yellow card considering what happened on Saturday when one of Oxford players blatantly shouted and sworn at the referee for a good 3 minutes and all he was got was a short talking to eventually.
I don't understand how you can book Clare for that when every other does the same thing or waves their arms at the lino which we have seen countless times.

I thought he looked overweight on Saturday too

Clare needs to tighten up his discipline side. Picks up way too many yellow cards for a player who isn't ultra aggressive.

Best news for the first team is we appear to have signed a centre back. On this showing he can start every week.

DJ is stocky. Always has been. If he was overweight, do you think he'd be making any appearances?

JFC has got some wonderful passing ability but lacks a lot of pace.

No, it's pretty much a 4-3-3 but those up front not really looking in any fixed position.

Erk, Clare throws the ball back to Harness who passes to Thomas rather than picking it up and nearly puts him in trouble.
Can he pick it up from a throw in?

Thomas playing well, JFC lovely passes but not match fit...he is too good to be left out of league side..Morgan also doing well, Clare looking lively, and I like the look of Chin.

Get Thomas into the first team, based on the first half.

Apart from the booking, Clare has been beaten a couple of times down his side

Not from somebody in his team
