I presume tomorrow will already be a busy day getting everything arranged for the hordes that will descend on Saturday. The day that they should have opened up for at least a few hours is Sunday. They would already be set up after Saturday and, as it’s a weekend, not as disruptive as having to come down on a working day.2 -
I think for the majority the main bottleneck will literally be the staff member thumbing through the envelopes to get to your name. As I mentioned earlier that could take a while if you happen to have a surname that starts with a common letter like 's'. Unless they've broken down the larger letters into second letter order.
Unfortunately there will be an element of human error, ie wrong tickets put in the wrong envelopes etc, and that will then require a degree of firefighting from the staff which is another bottleneck. We can only hope that is kept at a minimum.
At the end of the day there are very few FT ticket office staff these days. The majority you see on match days working at the windows are casual staff, mostly consisting of young friends/relatives of the full timers, and that comes with its own issues with regards to training/knowledge/procedures.0 -

p.s. i haven't seen it mentioned anywhere but is it likely that it will be on Charlton TV or will that not be allowed?

Do we know if the envelopes will be properly sealed or will they just use the tucking in method? I estimate a three second time difference between the two, resulting in over an hour and a half delay when applied to all collections.23

I find it weird how they stagger stuff, could have just posted yesterday that they will be available at 9am. Possibly all sold out by now and just concentrate on posting them.
