Anderson will be a loss but I still can’t see them struggling for top six.shirty5 said:
Mads Anderson the centre half to LutonShootersHillGuru said:
Have Barnsley lost anyone influential ? They were very tight last season and I can’t see them being out of top six.Braziliance said:Charlton_Stu said:We're being linked with a defender who's just left Halifax, apparently he's turned Barnsley down....Jesse Debrah (what a name) originally from Croydon.
Also linked with Lincoln and Walsall..
On a side note, Barnsley fans don't seem too optimistic about their season scrolling through twitter. Seems like their recruitment hasn't been up too much
Brad Collins the keeper to Coventry0 -
If this happens, I'd just like to say: mentioned Debrah on May 29th, first, ITK (I'm absolutely not by the way), aren't I clever (not that either) etc etc.North Lower Neil said:While on the subject of Carlisle, saw a player I'd not heard of linked with them, us Huddersfield, and Swindon - Jesse Debrah, apparently a young CB who is out of contract with Halifax.
In all likelihood his agent is just busy!3 -

They lost Harry Isted, their regular keeper during their great run during the 2nd half of last season.ShootersHillGuru said:

He was only on loan from Luton though.
Barnsley wanted to sign on him on a perm this summer, but Isted decided to sign for another club.

It's always like this with them to be fair. Last season they were pretty miserable, tends to come with the territory of selling any players who have a good season for a profit and then bringing in cheap replacements. They were miserable about a frontline of Norwood and Devante Cole but out of nowhere Cole turned up and got 15 goals for them. They're pretty good at identifying replacements even if they don't look great on paperBraziliance said:Charlton_Stu said:We're being linked with a defender who's just left Halifax, apparently he's turned Barnsley down....Jesse Debrah (what a name) originally from Croydon.

Barnsley aren't having a great pre-season though. Just cancelled their 2nd friendly so far, this one against Mansfield. Was meant to be a Barnsley XI. Apparently they don't have enough of a squad to manage the amount of games, so U21s having to be used in the first team games.0

Hidden in today’s article on the takeover completion being a formality is Storrie confirming a couple of signings are very close.

We’re still looking at a couple more signings at the moment to conclude soon. That, again, is all within tha agreed cashflow position.

Sounds like they might even be players for fees if PS is mentioning agreed cashflow.0

Do we know if he would want to stay? If he was to remain it would make the change over much smoother Charlie.AndyG said:

I think it drives home the point that Airman has been making, in that you really only have to be competent to improve several of the issues at the club. We've missed someone with football expertise like him for the past 10 years.AndyG said:
