There's zero explanation for that because he's just made no effort to save it.2

WTAF was that ?0

Thats the sort of save you see down at Goals, from the bloke who has been told he's going in goal, and is pissed off over it.9

Not been convinced by him any time I’ve seen him. How we decided to make him our number 1 after that performance at Newport is beyond me.5

He has great reactions, possibly not the most dominant of keepers as you might expect at only 6'1" but his shotstopping looks very decent. His kicking is a bit one-dimensional ie long but I did see a few throws to the full backs. Looks relatively assured with the ball at his feet but i'd need to see him in action to get the full picture.
I've also pulled a little comparison out of Wyscout. As you can see there is not a huge amount between all three - and I'm yet to get to the bottom of the "Prevented Goals" stats so disregard them. Here is this season so far. AMB is still in the positive, he’s conceded 6 goals but the value of the shots he’s faced would suggest he’s done better than expected.Unsurprisingly Isted has fared far worse than the average GK, where you would expect to concede on average 1.6 goals from what he’s faced and he’s conceded 3.
This obviously only measures shot-stopping ability but it definitively shows AMB is miles clear of Isted in that regard.Isted does seem better at coming off his line and punching crosses away, and is probably the better of the two with his feet, but his shot-stopping is so much worse than AMB’s that I think we have to make the change6 -
Don’t think either are good enough.both will cost us points this season.6

Reid hit it hard and into about the only spot he could score, I’m not in for this constant pile on at the moment2

He is like the Kevin Lisbie of goalkeepers. Once he makes one save he will go on to save loads.3

19 goals in about 10 years I think it was.0 -
Has he made a save yet?4

Both our keeper's are not good enough for promotion imo
But as we ain't going up this season replacing at least one of them will have to wait until the season is over.3 -

Same against Fleetwood. 3 SoT, 1 goal.
Against Oxford: 5 SoT and 2 goals so three saves.0 -

Don’t believe Appleton will have got a proper look at AMB just yet given that Ash was away on internationals. And it’s likely he looked at Isted being part of a winning side at Fleetwood and stuck with it.Whoever Appleton chooses going forward, he has to give them a run with the gloves up until at least Xmas.1 -
AMB should be number 1, I don't think he's done too much wrong when I've seen him play.10

The sooner AMB is back in goal, the better. He's a good young goalie who will only get better with more experience. I suspect that Holden's decision to drop up him was borne out of desperation and the need to be seen to be 'doing something' to remedy our dismal defensive record.
AMB should perhaps have got a stronger hand to Bristol Rovers' late winner at The Valley, although, in mitigation, their player was able to execute a volley whilst totally unmarked only 8 yards out.
Looking at AMB's level of performance since he came into the side, he usually makes at least one excellent save per game. The same can most certainly not be said for Isted. Effectively getting out of the way of Reid's shot yesterday was inexplicable and, quite frankly, abysmal.7 -

Just seen the other angle for the goal. That is disappointing.
I guess AMB didn't have much time to stake a claim following the international break. I think maybe he should start against Wycombe now.
I am beginning to think we might need a new keeper in January.2 -

And to think that Conor Ripley amongst others was available on a free too.2

But the issue of conceding doesnt rest solely with the Goalkeeper - Its the whole Defence... One individual isn't going to change that fact on their own.2 -
