Kent trying to make sure that Zak can open the innings by delaying taking the final 2 wickets.0
-
We all know Crawley is probably going to get out first ball don't we.3
-
If Crawley does bat who will it be instead of?0

Think they have said Compton.LenGlover said:If Crawley does bat who will it be instead of?1 -
Lancs 299-8 Middlesex 93-3.
We need wickets at Canterbury and Trent Bridge.2 -
Another wicket to Nijjar and a third and maximum bonus point
312-98 -
Taking into account the two overs for changeover then the openers will only have to face a couple of overs in which case I'm sure that it will be Muyeye and DBD0
-
Middx 110-3 but Eskinazi retired hurt with suspected concussion meaning that they will be allowed a replacement2

Are we still ahead in the points department?0
-
We are four ahead but that doesn't really matter until the stagger of the batting and bowling points fully unwind. But we could not have done any more than to take maximum bowling points. If we can get 350 and a draw then, almost certainly, Middx will have to get 400 plus 9 wickets and a draw to overtake us.sillav nitram said:Are we still ahead in the points department?0 -
We won't now have to bat today2
-
327 all out at close. Chahal with the final wicket.
We might have taken that at the start of the day but, having had them 18-3, that really is a bit disappointing.3 -
Middx 117-3 plus Eskinazi retired hurt. Rain has now stopped play.0
-
Quite rare for an innings to finish on the actual last ball of the day, as opposed to a day ending early because the wicket fell near the end of the day.1

Lancs all out 3270

The usual can't shift the tail that's cursed us for years.Addick Addict said:327 all out at close. Chahal with the final wicket.

That said, with our bowling injuries, I'm grateful for the 3 bonus points.2 -
The only comfort to report is that three of the top four in the bowling averages are playing in this game - Agar (21 wickets at 28.33) followed by Chahal (6 wickets at 29.16), Nijjar (7 wickets at 30.14) and Quinn (21 wickets at 30.90). The other dozen or so who have bowled for us this season are a long way behind. It remains a mystery as to why neither of those two, let alone both, didn't play in the last game.LenGlover said:

If Leaning hadn't dropped Hurst, the innings would have been over an hour ago.
Middlesex look quite comfortable batting for once, so might pick up batting points0 -

Leaning thinks it’s a good pitch?
So, what’s the reckoning, Kent all out for 88 just before lunch?5 -

Edit...OOps ! Misread AA's post ! Silly old moo !1 -
I hadn't realised that they went back out. Middx were 162-3 off 42 overs which really isn't great news for us.Addick Addict said:Middx 117-3 plus Eskinazi retired hurt. Rain has now stopped play.0 -

Hope that with the 10:30 start Notts can nick a quick couple of wickets to slow them up.Fanny Fanackapan said:

Not sure if it’s been mentioned before but will buttleman looks to be signing soon, heard the rumour a few days ago and was doing the rounds at the ground today0
-
It has been mentioned. I'm not sure exactly where Buttleman will sit in the hierarchy of our keepers in the sense that he is probably a better all round keeper than Finch but, with a top score of 65 in all competitions, he is definitely in the developmental stage as a batsman. There is no reason whatsoever not to make the announcement regarding Buttleman as he has been released by Essex unless that is being held back until such time as the Club can make it clear as to what Billings' situation is.000__Jaaaaay__000 said:Not sure if it’s been mentioned before but will buttleman looks to be signing soon, heard the rumour a few days ago and was doing the rounds at the ground today
