Might be a pain to make happen but would be nice to see a post match interview with the fans you talked to beforehand to see what they thought of the game and how their predictions fared.
Trouble is sometimes getting the people back again! Haha. I also am conscious of a few things. If we lose I don't want a set of fans berating ours and causing aggro or our own home fans (cause there is some) giving me grief for speaking to people outside after we have lost.
Ideally I'd go with it but I just have it in my mind it could get a bad reception. The formula I try and stick with is, away fans before the game, home fans half time and myself at full time.
Truth be told I am actually quite nervous approaching our own fans for some reason, like not as in I am shaking over it, just more so these are the people I am going to see fairly often and don't want to annoy anyone. Whereas with the away fans I find the approach far easier and have a lot more success

The latest, I genuinely couldn't record the second goal reaction, which is probably a good thing haha.
Was also not the usual environment where I can talk to the camera freely as we were all wedged in.
Great day out either way5 -
So I hit a bit of goal the other day of 500+ subscribers which is fantastic as that was my end of season target
so I am really chuffed with that.
To those who watch thank you and hope you still find the videos enjoyable, I think they've improved slightly over time but I am still trying to think of ways to make them better. I plan on doing this for quite a while so want to ensure they are of a certain quality.
I've had a lot of teething issues with mic quality which I think I'm almost pass now, at this point I need to just spend more money on more quality products but that will come at a later date.
The main reason I am bumping the thread though, to those who tune in regularly or even time to time, what could be better?
- what is the ideal video time?
- what do you like about the videos, what don't you like?
- would you like to see more of the game, or less?
Just any feedback to make the videos more watchable would be really appreciated

More of the game and less chat with the fans. Thanks.1

I always encourage fans to speak their mind and like to let them have their say a bit, always not sure if it's too much0 -
10-12 mins is fine .
i like hearing the oppo fans views before the game
half time crossbar challenge if we’re at home You gotta see em to believe em
maybe some chat with our fans on way home if on a train .2 -

Ask the fans which player is most likely to get a red card.1

You've mentioned the crossbar before so I certainly will next home game. My Mum has suggested I do a little trivia game for Charlton fans but the idea seems a bit old fashioned for me as I said surely people will just Google the answers haha.
As for the train idea, I like the idea, I just don't know how it will go down.
I've not had many negative interactions so far but I have had a couple of people question why I am recording games etc.
If I go on a train talking to people they may just think 'f off'. I'm hoping to get to a point where people feel comfortable enough to approach me as it takes away that fear/worry a little.
I do like the idea definitely though as I think talking to fans post match could really add to the video as that's when emotions run high and you will hear a true reflection from some people.1 -
I really enjoy your Vlog - I think you are doing a great job - also feels a bit like with the sad passing of Dave - ( drinking during the game) and previously dr kish ( ketts) it’s just me and Chicago Addick still doing blogs and maybe the blog era is passing generally.Well done and keep up the good work !!2

I also realised earlier about the blogs that they aren't as popular as they once were. Truth be told I wasn't even aware of the other blogs other than Dr Kish.
Link me mate and I'll be happy to read.
Again thank you though and of course I will, plenty of games to go still!0 -
Can you do the next one with a Dutch accent and maybe some face jewellry please?1

I did have a look there but it was all a bit too specialist for me2

Personally think they’re spot on, especially having only done it for a couple of months. Sometimes the interviews with oppo fans come across a bit awkward but they always will be when you’re talking to the public on the street - maybe some editing magic might solve this problem?I’ve seen other match day vlog channels that splice the fan interviews into each other as well to break it up and make the “awkward” moments less obvious. The fournilwrittenalloverit channel (Pompey vlogs) does this really well if you want some ideas.
Trivia could be fun, if it’s topical to the match in question - who was the last player to score this many goals etc etc - baiting comments from the viewers is never a bad idea. :-)
Apart from that, keep them coming. Enjoy watching them as someone who can’t get to the games.1 -
As well as asking opposition fans which of their players is most likely to be sent off, you could ask them who is their fastest player (and slowest), who has the best tricks and dribbles, hardest shot, best passer, most moody, easiest to wind up, and their teams ‘talisman’.1

Thank you though Cal, certainly some ideas there and glad you are still enjoying them0 -

The latest, enjoyed this one and a few new records were broken on the channel.
I went with your advice @oohaahmortimer finally and I will have to do the trivia next time @Callumcafc deffo something for Gillingham away or Cambridge at home2 -

Latest up, fair warning, it's quite morbid viewing haha. Tried to add some humour for a bad day out and edit transitions more than usual
Cheers, hope you enjoy2 -
Just caught up on last two videos 👍👍
Thanks for crossbar challenge , no comment re the ‘effort’
what was the competition about rolling the ball to halfway line , prize etc … that was a decent effort
if you go Reading , hope you come back miserable 😉2 - Sponsored links:

@Braziliance Just discovered your Vlogs mate I think you're doing a cracking job. One addition that I think would make sense is getting the reactions of fans after the games are finished. Appreciate you may not want to/ it may be difficult to. Especially after a game like last Saturday.1

I do want to but it's just something I am a bit cautious about. Me personally I could happily talk about Charlton after we lose, I could even talk about the away fans about it, me doing that doesn't impact the results.
I am just concerned about coming across the wrong way, a lot of football fans are hated in their own fan base who make these types of videos and I don't want to fall into that category where I'm not felt welcomed at my own club.2 -

You can't only speak to Charlton fans after a win and you're going to be speaking to a lot of angry and irrational fans after a defeat.
I'd steer well clear.1 -

One way I was thinking of, was if we win, do it, if we lose speak to oppo fans, but then that feels all wrong.
