Indeed and my comment was a bit tongue in cheek. In the old days there was a hierarchy but that isn't really the case now and it's not as if it would be sensible to ask Rehan or Hartley to do it. I'm just glad that Pope has come back to strong. The first innings was a symptom of someone who hasn't held a bat in the middle for so long and so desperate to impress - frenetic at times as has Root been on occasions too.
