    4 off 8
  • Back end overs once again, players unable to clear the boundaries left us 20 short.

Yeah felt like 20 runs short. Parkinson getting slapped didn’t help either tbh.

Might have guesed it would be a bit " after the Lord Mayor's show" against the team with nil points.

Our  last 6 or so overs didn't put enough runs on the board, sadly.

And Zak is letting us down with the bat ...but not the only one.

Joe's 1st wicket ball gave us a lot of hope but Middx managed to hit boundaries and sixes when they started to look a bit fragile towards the end of their innings.

And finally, wondering why Joey Evison wasn't asked to bowl today.

Fabian Cowdrey has been playing for Sutton CC in recent seasons in the Surrey Championship Premier Division. His overall history in club cricket is rather impressive but this year he has surpassed himself. After 5 matches, he is averaging 362 (made up of 121*, 104*, 1*, 34 & 102*) and has taken 7 wickets with the ball at an average of 19.43.

Is Kevin Masters still his agent?

I didn't know that he was and thought that Kevin Masters owned a building company that David (Hod) also worked in. Fabian gave up cricket partly to help his twin brother, Julian, with his music career. Julian appeared on The Voice but didn't get further than the blind auditions.

Not sure where to post this but how poor are Middlesex.

I was wondering what outground Middlesex were playing at, to explain 48-7.

I know they've had financial issues but they have been a shambles for the past few years in the Blast.

    * Didn't realise Somerset had the big Aussie quick Riley Meredith as an overseas , that's a shrewd signing.

Winning in 12.3 overs will help Somerset's NRR a lot.

Stobo in for Swanepoel and Gilchrist added. Strangely no Parkinson or Qadri in the travelling squad. Presumably we are assuming that it's going to be another green one.

Stobo and Gilchrist in for Swanepoel and Parkinson from the last game. Kent have won the toss and elected to bowl

Sussex have just hit Essex for 50 off 9 balls - Ward hit Walter for 6 followed by Hughes smashing his countryman, Sams, for 32 off one over and finally Ward helped himself to two more sixes off Critchley:

    6, 6, 4, 4, 6, 6, 6, 6, 6

5 over shoot out. Somerset made 55-6 but that will be adjusted for DLS
