Not to take this thread off topic but I bought a Nintendo switch last year, at the age of 33, and downloaded the N64 pack just to play Goldeneye again. Worth every pennyse9addick said:

Blimey! Algerian gymnast just had a massive wobble on the beam, and basically stayed on by the width of her big toe.

where did you see that?Chunes said:
I read that they installed special cameras a few years back to detect when both feet were off the ground or knees were bent. But the cameras found that so many racers were so breaking the rules so frequently that they just got rid of the technology in the end. Leaves me wondering what the rules actually are.Leroy Ambrose said:
Yeah - now that's a definite point. It's almost impossible to catch it on camera, and they're so good at it that it requires loads of spotters to check - with the penalties seeming pretty arbitrary tbhMrOneLung said:and i reckon 75% of the time they do have both feet off the ground
there is no requirement to have both feet on the ground so installing something to detect it would be very odd and a complete waste of money
the rule is that there must be no visible (to the human eye) loss of contact with the ground.
the 'to the human eye' part is explicit, technology cannot be used0 -
            Biles, wow0

Now, I think that would be an interesting sport to watchrina said:

Not looking great for Murray/Evans. On a brighter note, I'm sure I saw Screech from Saved By The Bell in the crowd. Google it kids!0

there's a big change to be aware of in the athletics with the introduction of a repechage in all track events up to and including the 1500m
round 1 will now have no fastest losers except in hurdles, instead all finishers who do not automatically qualify for the semis will go into the repechage so guaranteeing everyone at least 2 races as long as they finish the first one
the repechage will have fastest losers but this time not in the hurdles or the 1500m; the semis will have fastest losers in all except the 1500m
I think I've got that right1 -

            Spooky!!!
He doesn't look any different from when he was in the show. Doing well for a dead fellow.0 -
            Just seen Bob Ross too.
I see dead people0 -

This long goodbye has gone on so long that if they don't wrap this up soon, there's one or two there who might be joining him. 🥱cafcpolo said:

            Legend.
Great athlete and hope he gets into media or coaching and keeps himself busy. He obviously has an obsessive winning attitude, so needs to keep his mind occupied.4 -
Shame to see Scotland’s Andy Murray lose.4
 -
            Thanks Andy.2

A shame it took the Brits a set and a half to really get going, but great that they did play a few top points at the end to go out on a more fitting note. Quite emotional, Murray has been an incredible leader of British tennis, as well as a great player, helping all the younger players including Evans.1

Put as many mealy mouthed statements out as they like men have no place hitting women at all and certainly not in sport.
All the mental gymnastics justifying it. The boxer is a man and has been determined so. Not sporting to allow men to compete in most sports against women let alone in combat sports.
Child rapists and men fighting women. Awful what the olympics has become.5 -
Back to the gymnastics. Mark Kinsella must be a proud dad, his daughter is the 12th best woman gymnast in the world.12
