Have said it for years, we 'lose' more money than we make with the food and drink in the kiosks.

The owners never improve things.

They should have some sort of app for fans to purchase their drinks in advance like a well known pub chain i dare not speak of

We seem to have comparable prices to the O2 so they are trying to be ‘elite’ in some respects 😉🙁😀

Two halves cheaper than a pint... who is running this crap.... amateur hour

This existed at some point last season, or maybe it was the season before. Anyway, me and my mates used it a couple of times. We got the pints extremely quickly, and hardly anyone used it.

Apparently Bristol Rovers have something similar for home fans , order in advance , scan your app at half time and pick up your pints. Works really well apparently. 

I refuse to believe Bristol has the internet, I wont have it.

Maybe it’s something our fans group should put forward in their next meeting. Obviously many fans are not happy with the service this season but put the price doesn’t match the service. 

Some clubs sell plastic bottles of beer, it's much quicker

Many years ago(we were in the prem) I had just finished my MBA. I tried to suggest ways to Steve Sutherland to maximise the beer sales. Pre poured beer. People dispensing beer from backpacks like they do in the o2. He shot me down with health and safety issues. Still don’t know why everyone else can do it but us!!!

I still can’t get over a pint of Peroni in a plastic cup costing £7.40 at a third division football stadium. Absolute madness.

In this case I think really the issue is training / familiarity and that can only be down to the third party outsourced provider. 

Supply and demand will ultimately apply and mean custom is limited but practically I think it’s just another example of how poor a choice food and drink is inside football grounds and indeed any comparable venue. I make you right in your observation that chips from the local chip shop are better value. 

My point is better pay gives you a better chance of retaining staff, at risk of slightly contradicting myself, experienced staff are going to be better at their job and more able to pass on their experience of how to do things more efficiently to newbies. Most jobs involve finding more effective ways to do the job that the manual doesn't tell you, and that comes with experience. 

Anyone who falls for the Peroni baloney deserves to pay £7.40 a pint...

Well yes better pay can help with retention BUT given the venue it’s surely only ever going to attract temporary / part time staff. 

It’s a  job every other week and only for a few hours. Those staff are always going to flip to alternate jobs if opportunities arise. 

Of course some will, but equally there will always be a few local people who are happy to earn a few bob for a few hours on a regular basis, Nick. As long as they are getting a fair wage. Pubs have staff that just cover a Sunday night shift when the weekday staff are off, for example. If you retain one regular in every bar it would make a difference. 

A decent hourly rate for six or seven hours, 36 times a year would pay for a good holiday in the off season...  

Any reason to state the obvious 2 pint price,seeing as no reductions from just buying the 1 pint…🤔
