I still can’t get over a pint of Peroni in a plastic cup costing £7.40 at a third division football stadium. Absolute madness.
Especially as two stops down the line is the old harry at WA where you can get a decent pint of real ale for £2.74, or go one more to Plumstead and at the Radical Club get a pint for around £3.
Shoooosh Chipps,  we don't need the riff raff joining us.
    Too true @blackpool72

Letting @Chippycafc join was bad enough
Hopefully see you tomorrow mate 🍺
See you in the exclusive members only, no riff raff club.

Too late mate "Henry"s already found it.
I knew it was a mistake letting you join!

2 different beers terrible and expensive today. (Also my mates Grolsch went back) Unfinished beer nearly collected also. Poor experience.

I’m not saying our 2 for £6 cocktails is the incentive the players need to get a win, but we will take it any day of the week ! #LarrysSellingOut
Quite concerned for your solvency if we keep winning!

Meanwhile in the East Stand, if you want two pints of IPA, best order them one at a time with the 2 pint price!! With the hopeless half time queues this made me smile. Sort it out.

I had a pint of Meantime in the Fans Bar after the game, which was fine, and the service was fine too.

So they decided to pour half full pints of beer out at HT ready for the rush, and just top up the rest as you order. Great idea. Until I ordered a cider and they filled up a pre-poured beer. One large mouthful without looking and cider/beer concoction tasted like shite. Couldn’t even be bothered to walk back up and complain.

But didn't say hello or worse, buy me a drink! 🤣
  • Thanks to this thread, I tried out having a pint in Bartrams after the game. Quick and efficient. Good way to kill time waiting for the train.

Also had a beer and food in fanzone before match. Decent. Big screen for early kick off and live compere worked v well.  Will it persist in winter I wonder?

I wonder what the interview questions will be.
Some to consider are how do you ensure all staff are up to the job, how do you ensure a minimum of two dissimilar vegetarian choices at each outlet, and how do you engage with the ordinary fans as to what they want?

Don’t be silly. My post does not suggest that at all.
By ‘ordinary’ I meant the people who don’t pay for lounge meals and special catering, but the straightforward fan who rocks up and wouldn’t mind something palatable and affordable to eat and drink.
