Did the Palermo Foro Italico Parkrun this morning. Nice flat course on waterfront. Only 40 participants, more than half were visitors. Usual friendly parkrun welcome.3

Enjoyed the royal parks half. A big pb at 1hr45. The scrum to get through those meeting runners at the end was a little unpleasant though.9

She did it in 2.01 which was incredible!! Raised a load for autism.3 -
Have been in Glasgow this weekend for a conference so snuck out to Queen’s Park parkrun, which is bloody hilly and awkward but the views from the top are great. And it stopped pissing down in time for the start, which was a bonus. That was my 99th different parkrun.
Battersea started yesterday, taking us up to 64 in London.4 -

Anyone here go to Battersea today? I'm reading worrying things about its future already, eg there will be a council review if 1000+ people ever attend. So that's 10am Saturday 19th then.0 -

Anyone here go to Battersea today? I'm reading worrying things about its future already, eg there will be a council review if 1000+ people ever attend. So that's 10am Saturday 19th then. It’s all on the tarmac path used by other runners and cyclists and it’s all done and dusted by 10am but the team are very nervous on all sorts of things that could see things go nipples vertical. They worry even that runners who cycle there may leave their bikes parked against fences etc rather than bike “holders” and that will get them complaints and too many complaints will see their permission withdrawn as I believe it’s only been granted on a trial basis….be interesting to keep an eye on…1 - Sponsored links:

Wet, muddy and very slippery on slopes this morning, definitely one for the diehards5

Got my least bad time of the year today I think I was just trying to get out of the rain…,7

Charlton Park for me today!4

The Plens in Desborough for me. My 250th run overall at 50 locations and slowest yet, but just under 30 mins to maintain that record at least (for now). My average is just under 26, but I won't be pushing myself any more now, so expecting to exceed 30 mins soon. Extended both Wilson indexes to 15 today 😊

Squerryes Winery near Westerham for my 100th different parkrun - I knew it would be muddy but it was very, very muddy almost all the way around. Stayed upright but set a new personal worst time. But bought some beers from the brewery - will return in the spring or summer!4

Love a Parkrun me.4

Organised parkrun as a work initiative (my thinking was I'd get brownie points for doing exactly what I was going to do anyway) and was fun... No way I'd have done it otherwise. Surfed at least 2 meters down a slope at one point no idea how I stayed up. Number 97 though so not long!0

Battersea again today.Least bad time of the year yay.Might go for an adventure next week though5

Start was less confused than last week, I just don’t need that many more extra steps before I start!
I was in the old double-denim Llanera shirt, did you lap me?0 -

I did Irchester country park parkrun yesterday. Got overtaken by a fat bloke wearing a Birmingham top, who in turn was overtaken by a slightly less fat man in Middlesborough shirt. I was ok about this, as it felt like correct league positions had been restored.
It wasn't a PB course, as it was quite hilly and we were helped round by a marshall playing the steel drums, super friendly with a nice atmosphere.5 -

Should be on the things that annoy you thread but done a 10k with my son this morning,
9.5k in and I’m blowing out my ar3e and he’s jogging along not even broken into a sweat and nonchalantly WHISTLING a tune.Oh to be young again…4 -
Free afternoon so plodded out to Slough to get my U. Bit muddy and a tiny bit of drizzle had me 6-minutes slower than last week, found it hard work but conscious I was out last night which likely won’t have helped….2

Had a great run this morning, took 35 secs off my post Covid PB. Despite Avery Hill being much busier due to Danson being cancelled.Have been off this week for half term and been out and about every day. Amazing how much stronger my legs felt simply by not sitting down at a computer every day.16

Did the Deal Castle 5 mile race this morning. A lovely little race along the sea front past both deal and walmer castles. Got home in 35.45 which I was very happy with.5
