stop_shouting said:follett said:I ran the Porto Marathon the Sunday before last. Quite a fun way to see the city but ended up being quite a tough morning. Assume the marathon was set in November to avoid the heat but ended up being 24 degrees which was too hot for me, very cobbly streets and despite not having loads of elevation gain, there were a few uphill sections that were killer on tired legs. The heat seemed to catch a few out as I've never seen so many walking the end of a marathon. I just about managed to dig in and finish without stopping to walk and kept my time under 4 hours which I'm happy with. Looking forward to keeping the fitness levels topped up and see what I can do going forward, eyeing up Edinburgh now0

Ran at Toyen parkrun in 🇳🇴 today -6 this morning and a little hilly.5

Barnstaple parkrun this morning. Wet, windy and muddy, but great fun. Weather impacted numbers, but around 80 people braved the conditions. Would recommend it if you are in the area.1

Did Ekebergsletta parkrun in a gloriously sunny, but chilly, Oslo 🇳🇴 on Saturday.
I got round in my fastest ever time outside of the England, so i was happy.
I celebrated with few local beers and flew back on Sunday with a smile on my face and an empty wallet.

Been feeling low for various reasons lately and as a result only ran once since the 2nd Nov. Just not had the motivation to put my kit on.
Proper forced myself out the door tonight. So glad now I did. Running does so much for my mental health.Anyone else feel the same?3 -

Anyone on here?0 -
Battersea again today but I’d wrapped up because of how cold it was during the week so nobody could even see my Hamilton Accies shirt under my hoody.I’d basically wrapped up too much in the end as it turned out rather mild but oh well.I’ve asked the current Mrs Bluff to get me the Simonsen FADs hat for Christmas so I can stand out a bit more 🤪3

No. 100 for me today, and I saved one of my worst times of the year for it too! Bounded up for my photo for milestone achievers all ony own as well. Awkward but soaked up the applause6

Well done on your hundred @McBobbin
i swapped today for golf. Niece Pb’d and my son missed his by 2 secs. Another lovely morning weather wise for running, the chill we’ve had during the last two midweeks has eased off again2 -
Cheers mate. I'm doing another 5k tomorrow in a Santa suit, so hoping there's a bit of a chill or I'll boil alive1

Trudged around Royal Tunbridge Wells today, lovely and muddy5

Hoblingwell for me today. The run director did his briefing barefooted. I am guessing that he is a bare foot runner, either that or someone nicked his socks and trainers.
It isn't the easiest of courses and it was a bit slippery in places, but i managed to get round quite a bit faster than the last time i ran there in the snow.4 -

Abandoned plans to go to Morden (it's now cancelled anyway), now sat up to see what's happening with Charlton or Hilly Fields (Sutcliffe and Thames Path already cancelled). May just give it a rest for a week though!0
