Gypsy Tart is very easy to make. Failing that if you are ever in deepest, darkest East Sussex then Jempson’s stores sell Gypsy Tart.soapboxsam said:MuttleyCAFC said:I quite enjoyed my School Meals. Especially when there were seconds and sometimes even thirds on the sponge pudding and custard.
Not sure how we reached school meals from a thread about Elon Musk but as that tangent has occured, can I just say I enjoyed Gypsy tart and Custard at School 😋
Since I was 15 I have on many occasions searched for a Gypsy tart but alas with no success; I took solace in having a spotty dick.

He's done a lot of good with regards to electric cars, infrastructure surrounding electric cars, and the generation of clean energy. It's weird that people on the left hate him solely for his position on free speech. Yeah sometimes he says whacky things on Twitter but you have to look at his accomplishments as a whole.
But "whacky things"? He's calling for the US to invade the UK to remove Starmer's "dictatorship" for Christ's sake.

Mate of mine works for Tesla.
Says Elon is as mad as a box of frogs, gets a ridiculous amount of nonsense emails from him.
But the pay is good & gets to deliver Teslas to their owners.
Realises he could be sacked tomorrow but that's fine, always another job about.
I wouldn't want Musk anywhere near any football club in the UK.4 -

Yeah sometimes he says whacky things on Twitter but you have to look at his accomplishments as a whole.Nobody is claiming that the development of Tesla and Space X has nothing to do with Elon Musk - albeit they are likely both (certainly Tesla is) significantly funded with US tax payers' money. They are challenging the assessment of him as a technical genius (an image he has self-proclaimed) - he is not. What he is is a very effective (and ruthless) businessman, and marketeer. He is also a very dangerous narcissist, racist, mysogynistic arsehole. One of those in The Wite House is bad enough, but two?? He's not in favour of free speech, or he wouldn't censor stuff as soon as a suitably right wing govt asks e.g.Turkey.Croydon said:

See what happens if you write cisgender on twitter too.

According to sources, regularly mentioned by reporters, the "success" of both companies relies, other than on extensive Government subsidies, upon the companies having teams whose sole job is to keep him away from the planning and design processes. Twitter is the first example of his own direct management style (and I'm not sure that a site that platforms open Nazis without any apparent concern is a good look), and then there is the delight of the Cybertruck (which is just a wonderful product that helps identify each village's idiot, by which I mean absolute bell-end, without the trauma of actually having to meet them).cafcnick1992 said:The way people on here are claiming that the success of Tesla and SpaceX is nothing to do with Elon Musk is hilarious. In recent days he's been spending something like 16-17 hours a day tweeting hugely inflammatory shite (and is due to share a live stream today with a leading member the AfD, which I'd like to claim is a low point in his political activities).
He has accomplished the feat of becoming the World's richest absolute tosser.16 -

No he's not. He has offered a lot to the world in terms of leading the charge (pun intended) on EV tech and also provides a lot to charities.seth plum said:If if you don’t use Pay Pal, have a Tesla motorcar, and have never been on Twitter, Musk is an irrelevance
He hasn't done anything in 'EV tech'. He bought Tesla from its founders, and used (and continues to use) government subsidies to run his business. The taxpayer of the US is funding Musk - Tesla LOSES money selling cars. This is how they make 'profit':
https://edition.cnn.com/2021/01/31/investing/tesla-profitability/index.html
And the only reason he donates to charities is for tax purposes - the same reason most billionaires do. he doesn't even do what's 'required' of him there, either:

He actually isn’t. He bought Tesla from the two design geniuses who founded the company, and made them sign NDs so they now can’t talk about how they were the brains behind it.Jints said:

But "whacky things"? He's calling for the US to invade the UK to remove Starmer's "dictatorship" for Christ's sake. And Tesla only makes money because of government grants. He has had little or no design or engineering input into Space X because he isn’t a rocket scientist. He knows how to make a few quid though. I’ll give him that much. But his grandparents were literal nazis, and his father appears to be the same. He himself is a big supporter of apartheid and far right groups.Unfortunately the world is increasingly being run by oligarchs who are only interested increasing their already enormous wealth at our expense (Amazon pays little tax meaning we all have to pay more, for example).Good luck to any politician who tries to stand in their way, or tries to increase taxes for the super rich.21 -

Dangerous man.
To which our whacky, free speech loving tech genius decided the mature and logical response was to accuse this person of sexually abusing children. What a scamp he is.8 -
I'm told he hates being called Ellen which is quite funny and how I will refer to him from now on.
Same as his Orange friend who hates being called Mr Vice President (implying Ellen is actually holding the reigns).4 -

Elon doesn't like nonces, or people who cover up for nonces, or people who enable nonces or people who do their utmost to ensure that the people who covered up for nonces don't get brought to justice for covering up for and enabling nonces.
A lot of people feel the same way and applaud the pressure that he has put on this (and the previous) cowardly, morally bankrupt Government to try and get them to stop putting the interests of nonces and their enablers above those of the victims.
Not many hereabouts, though, obviously.

I've not read the thread, but if Musk had any involvement with our club, that's me done after 65 yrs of support. Success at any cost...not for me. The man is a nasty piece of work and despite his billions he's got that through nicking other people's ideas, for example Tesla and Space X. He's a dangerous rich man with the morals of a weasel!9
