Done deal. Predictable and seems popular amongst Luton faithful, even if it was 25 years ago ffs -

If he replaced Andy Scott that would be an incredible signing
Yeah it would be, just a bloody shame he's replacing Terrence Taylor

According to that picture, we should be going back in for him around January time, meaning now would be the time

Doesnt sound right... I thought Wrexham were only doing well because of Dobbo in Midfield, and was a sign of why we were wrong to not offer him a new deal?

Matty James (ex-Leicester Midfielder) by the looks of things... He only signed for them just before Wrexham played us, and they're now playing a Midfield three of James, Rathbone and Cannon

Dobson's strength was playing the exact same role as Coventry - you could try and push him forward, but I would say that's where his weaknesses were highlighted. We're not going to drop Coventry, and both Docherty (arguably) and ACampbell play very similarly. At a push, I even suspect Karoy would also be fine there. In the stone cold light of day, we don't really need another player like Dobson in the squad, even with Taylor leaving. I loved Dobson, but right now, he's not the player we need - unless NJ has some wild idea of dropping Docherty, which I just feel is too batshit and destabilising.

Where we lack is the option for the creative midfield space, as an option instead of Berry.

Remember back almost 70 pages ago someone suggested Al Hammadi? He’s drawing interest from Stoke and West Brom so was never a goer

Attacking Midfielder has to be the main priority , I get they're a bit of a luxury at times out of possession but it feels like the final piece of the jigsaw along with a wide/striker option. Hopefully if the TT deal goes through today even if we're paying all his wages still some cogs can begin to turn on bringing players in.
Just the final pieces of the puzzle alongside a new LCB and a new GK..

Don't think a quality GK would be available at this stage of the window , same with LCB - I wouldn't be surprised if we've enquired about some and been given ridiculous January prices.

Unless someone like Nathan Baxter suddenly became available....
    Cheers Andy :)

I like Terry Taylor but some of the comments on Twitter are frankly a bit much. You’d think we had loaned Northampton a prime Luka Modric.
Yeah, Taylor ain't that bad ffs

    Mihaly Kata.

    16 appearances this season - 0 goals, 0 assists

    His season heat map below.

Would suggest he’s more Coventry / Docherty competition than Berry, which is what we all know we want and need.

    New midfielder coming in

Out of interest, your contact comes from the board or elsewhere?  A polite question.

Was great in Memphis Belle, not seen anything else he's been in tbh, but pretty sure this is for the films thread.

What is the fascination of always wanting our old players back.

I haven't got a problem with having a previous player back, providing it improves the current squad, and leaving wasn't acrimonious...

I think it’s more about not knowing what else is out there.

I remember someone tweeting that Bakinson was 'mustard' after a couple of appearances last season.  I do genuinely think that our expectations have been so lowered and eroded over the years, that we've forgotten what really good looks like and have been overly accommodating to what largely, have been a very mediocre bunch of players.

Seems to be getting worse every season as well
Isn't Bakinson playing fairly regularly in a promotion chasing team? Just saying...

I believe a midfielder deal must be done now, that Taylor has gone. Little detail, I know it was close!
If there is one makes sense to announce on day of Directors fan meeting.
