Honestly, don't know what some of you want.. It is the most stable the club has been years. We are in touching distance of the play offs, Jones is in control of what he wants. Since the day he came in, he said he wants smaller, fighter and hungry squad.

Yes we need to add one or two.. As long as they can make an impact. But the constant negativity to ownership is all a little boring now!!

We have rejected a bid close to 2 million for TC. Clubs are asking about Leaburn and knocking them back..

Do you think the ownership was responsible for Campball, Hyton and Potts signings? Suppose that was Scott's doing right.

    Get real!!

well said and spot on ….
Now I agree with those criticising @DubaiCAFC's views.

Leaburn is the last person I'd want to leave and beefed up TC the second last Small, then Godden , then Jones

Really need another CM or CDM now. Midfield has zero depth.
    Coventry, Docherty, Anderson, REG…
    As they said......zero depth.

So a youngster and a utility player as back up. Screwed if we get an injury or two as it stands.

I've always said Charlton fans massively over rate Miles.

The player we can least afford to lose today imo is TC.
TC is a good player with a lot of potential, but Leaburn recently scored nearly as many league goals in a month as TC has in his career.
TC Is a winger with pace and scares the bejesus out of defenders. If we sell him today you can kiss goodbye any chance of making the play offs.
Agreed - him and Jones are our POTY contenders

Which isn’t enough, REG isn’t a serious option to play regularly in midfield.

One injury and it's all tits up, Coventry will get a suspension of 2 games too, REG isn't a central midfielder that helps you get into the playoffs
We’ve barely seen him used there for us, but REG has played in midfield in the championship before. Can’t really judge it until we’ve seen it for us but he could be a good option there

Ideally we sign another but with Berry and Gilbert too we have a good amount of midfielders so I don’t think it’s that likely
That means nothing - James Vennings, Ben Dempsey and Aaron Henry have all played midfield in the championship.

The cover story is perfect, musician "Jazzy" James Jellis travelling with his band playing clubs across the country but every town he visits has a mysterious spate of crime...

As this thread is full of made up nonsense anyway!

I’d have Coventry in 2nd behind Jones. TC 3rd at the moment but I think Small could sneak in

Coventry definitely has a shot of making the top 3 , think Jones will ultimately win it and third could be anyone's.

I don’t think it can be a good window unless we get someone to replace Gillesphey. We can’t keep relying on a defender that is makes mistakes as constantly as he does.
Not sure what I swore more at when watching the highlights on Saturday.  Gillesphey’s disaster of trying to bring the ball down…or the commentator saying it was “an uncharacteristic error from Gillesphey” 🤦🏻‍♂️🫣🤬🤬

  • Ipswich have signed a keeper for £2m.

    Could make Simon Walton available.

Wouldnt be a proper window without an Ipswich signing.

Might do, or could make Christian Walton available 😊

Typical Charlton, going in for a player over the hill who played for us before. Would have been good if we went for Christian Walton though

Walton is injured, Muric was terrible against Southampton so I'm not surprised they've signed a keeper.

Just seen who it is. Rule out the Josh Griffiths in the summer rumours if they're signing Alex Palmer

With Andy Scott in charge we'll probably end up with John boy Walton

Following Gilbert's arrival expect to see an increase in the effort exerted by Berry when he plays - and not before time.

Think we have already, thought the Bristol Rovers game was his best performance of the season. Looked like he knew reinforcements were coming in

So with these two (Gilbert & Mitchell) deals, are we currently for this window:

7 out (Mitchell, Taylor, Edun, Asimwe, Campbell, Potts, Hylton)
    1 in (Gilbert)

    Is that correct?

I agree, although I did notice NJ giving him something of a telling off during the first half after which there was a considerable increase in his movement off the ball.

    24 hours to go:
    1 more sleep.
An attacking midfielder who has stamina, pace, can run with the ball and succeed in a high percentage of passes, plus a few goals or assists.
    Any chance ?

Posted this at 11pm last night for those of you shite at maths.

Does Alex Gilbert potentially fit the bold above ?

Yeah, though it sounded like Hylton may stay. Hopefully he doesn’t as a player if we sign another 2 today.
