My gripe is CAST wont immediately call it out as a bad idea saying we have to await more details. No details will make it a good idea in my opinion.6 -
Covered End said:golfaddick said:Covered End said:golfaddick said:carly burn said:What they should've done imo is this.
Monday & Tuesday. Allow season ticket holders to buy thier seats and their seats only. No extras.
Wednesday. Allow season ticket holders and VG to buy the equivalent of their ST ticket plus 2 extras anywhere they want in the ground including those not taken up on Monday and Tuesday.
Thursday put the rest on General sale.
All those who panicked bought should accept it. You have a ticket for the match. Accept that you panicked & now have a seat in the West or Block B of the AC stand instead of your usual in North Upper.
I've waited patiently to buy mine. Was originally going to be Tuesday.... then Wednesday. Now its Friday.
All because you couldn't wait an hour or two on Sunday.
Pah !!
And thanks @clive. I stand by what I said. Everyone who wants a ticket will probably get one......if everyone followed the procedures from Sunday onwards.
I waited my turn on Monday. Read all the panic on here & thought " let's leave it a day or 2 to settle down, for the club to sort out the IT system & wait for all the ST seats to become available on Tuesday". The match is not until NEXT Thursday fgs !
If I dont get a ticket then so be it. I wont cry about it. I'll just watch it at home on Sky.14 -

Be honest, for whatever reason you chose not to take him up on the offer thinking you would be able ti get your own, and now you maybe can't because the timings don't suit but you did have the opportunity and turned it down.1 -

As of last night the fee was also still pending on my credit card, but I did have a transaction number from the App. Dropped an email to the ticket office this morning and they have sent them through for us.Hope everyone gets sorted soon if they’re still waiting 🤞🏻
I’m surprised how some people have been getting their emails with tickets attached, mine arrived within five minutes, and some haven’t. Why? Something that definitely needs looking at.4 -
But don't the ticket office source your email address for tickets from your Profile? When I renewed my ST it asked me to check my profile email address-no?0

One of my nephews has a s/t but was totally blocked from buying for some reason. When he saw it was likely selling out, he just secured a ticket anywhere he could. I call that rational behaviour in the circumstances.
Seem to remember you gobbing off a couple of days ago that it wasn't a sell out.
Maybe for once you won't be right in hindsight.
Although I'm pretty sure you will still get a ticket if you really want one!!0 -

Absolutely livid! I’ve just found my mum was refused her carer ticket that she’s entitled to due to her disability for home leg of the playoffs, are the club really that desperate for a few quid that they are willing to shit on someone who’s had a season ticket since 2011 that are willing to put her in danger of a fall with no one around to help?Absolutely disgusting. If anyone can tell me where to direct my complaint, please let me know.0

A few months ago the ticket office manager told me that they had changed to the same system as that used by most premier league clubs.
Clearly the club has attempted to do something different for the play offs which hasn't worked.0 -
Our tickets for the 1st leg turned up in the post this morning. Well done to the ticket office for getting those out given the chaos that must be going on 👏👏👏7

One of our group has just been at The Valley to collect our away tickets.
Queue is into Main Reception where a well known Security person is handing out the tickets.
Apparently, tickets were sent out yesterday by 1st class post....
Hoping that your local postie delivers daily to those waiting on them.

Are you sure on ‘refused’ mate? I know the online ticket system can’t support the carer ticket, but speaking to the ticket office via phone should resolve that. If she is ambulant disabled, she is entitled to a carer ticket. If she already utilises a carer ticket with her season ticket, she would already have provided DWP letter confirming disability6 -

I got the information second hand from my sister and I’ll be calling my mum later tonight to find out exactly details before I send the email. They also tried to remove her lift pass a few years ago, complaints had to resolve that too. It’s really not safe for her to be attending games alone since her stroke, but she’ll do it anyway as she’s too proud to fully accept it.6

I reported earlier that when the tickets went on sale to ST holders, I found that only two of our three seats has been made available to me. My son had his own Fan ID and was able to log in himself, but (like so many others) he wasn’t able to buy his own seat so he bought another seat in the next block.
After several attempts, and 15 minutes on hold, I spoke to someone in the ticket office today and she was able to sort it all out for us and the three of us will now be together for the game.
I am conscious of criticism levelled by some at ST holders for doing what we did, but I reckon there must be several hundred of us who are neither selfish nor stupid for doing what we did. The ticketing system simply did not offer a way for my son to get his usual seat, as others will attest.
It has now all been sorted to our satisfaction and the “other” seat has already been snapped up.

Well I’m literally sitting in my brothers seat, so I don’t feel guilty for taking a regulars seat. I’ve also donated the amount I would have paid for a ticket to the trust and renewed my Valley Gold.
Whatever happens I really feel excited about the Club again 🙏🏻♥️16 -

I'm unclear if the ticket website refused the carer ticket, or the refusal was on a call to the ticket office? The website isn't always great for disabled tickets/carers - e.g. if a member 'linked' to the disabled person logs in to buy the ticket, they don't always see the full range of options as the disabled person sees if they logged in. Even if logged in as the disabled member, if you're not an expert user in the ticket webiste and know where to click it can be difficult.
Call the ticket office - they'll resolve this, surely? And I'd suggest doing that TODAY before most of the remaining tickets go tomorrow and the ticket office 1. have fewer options to resolve the matter 2. will be much busier.
If your mum is in a wheelchair, or that's an option, DM me as my dad's not attending so I know of one wheelchair + carer space you could have.
Hope this is of some use!3 -
