I love games, but Elden Ring just doesn't do it for me.
They all have a very particular aesthetic and level of difficulty.
I have struggled with the 'From Soft' games in the past, apart from Bloodbourne - but absolutely adored Elden Ring. For me it had the right level of challenge with the less linear level design making it much easier to just move somewhere else, and feel less frustrated and like you are still progressing.
The level design is incredible as well. The first time you enter Leyndell is something I will never forget
Looks great, plays well, has a great story and is being battered by most reviews.
Totally agree. Fantastic open world game. Those hordes though...
First open world game I have 100% completed in ages. The ps5 release only a £10 upgrade and runs much better along with visuals improved. Shame they can't release more maps/ second version.
Anyone eyeing up a Switch 2? My son wants one for Xmas (he’ll be 6 by then). My last console was a PS4 - I’d love to persuade him and Mrs TRR into a PS5 but unlikely.
That trailer for GTA is ridiculous - it looks insanely good. Not convinced it will come out on the announced release date - can see it coming out in autumn instead.

The Switch was my favourite console of the last generation, and I definitely want a Switch 2 — but crikey, £70 for games?
Hopefully it's just the odd AAAA release that lands at that price.
the switch is ideal for kids/families, just the whole portability of it, being able to play it sat on the sofa whilst parents watch tv, or play on a car journey etc
My 14 year old recently found his old nintendo DS XL - sent it off to get screen repaired, and has now modded it to be able to play any game they released

Yeh I’m hoping I can just download some free/cheap ones for him too. New Mario Kart looks cool. Has an open world non-race element, which probably suits younger kids.
Really disliked GTA5. played it and gave it away soon afterwards.
In terms of enjoyment I rate rockstar games that I've played like this..
RDR 2 GTA San Andreas GTA vice city The warriors Max Payne GTA 2 Bully GTA 3 GTA London GTA 5 GTA 1 Manhunt Earth worm Jim 3
GTA V was an absolute masterpiece IMO. Surprised you don't rate it. It was the best game i had ever played until RDR2 which raised the bar even higher. The expectation for GTAVI is going to be insane. Anything less than the best game ever made will disappoint a lot of people.

I think it just felt too realistic/modern in certain ways for me. Which GTA 6 will be as well. for example the first 4 games i listed are all nostalgic pieces. wild west, 1980s Miami, 1990s LA, and late 70s New York. it made them more fun to be in their respected worlds. I'm not saying GTA 5 wasn't good and I shouldn't have said "really disliked it" it's just I didn't enjoy it as much.

I agree with this. I didn't think much of gta 5.
It's better to just play as one character.
Flying an aeroplane didn't feel as good as it was in San andreas.
I think gta 6 will have the best of everything.
LA noire was very good along with Rdr1 and Rdr2 (the current best game of all time)

Been on a bit of nostalgia trip, and purchased a ps2, all the old time crisis and the guns with pedals.
Can't wait to use this, the best experience playing time crisis other than the arcade itself, love the recoil on the guns and the foot pedals:
Gta 6 tailor 2
Graphics are great but I don't care much for bonnie n Clyde
