  • I smell manure or Ai !
  • Haven’t got a clue who he is, but from what I’ve seen he’s not well liked and it looks like it’s led to a lot of negative support with lots of neutrals saying they hope we lose now. It’s one video so don’t really care either way, but it’s not nice to see the club get dragged, seems like a bit of an own goal

Think people are seriously overestimating how much he’d have been paid. Is it a bit odd? Yeah. Would I have done it? Probably not. Will it be remembered by the majority after the play offs? Definitely not
It's estimated that someone with over 1 million followers on social media could earn between £10,000 to £25,000, for a single 60 second video and it could be more.

It would have definitely cost in the thousands, Mark Goldbridge probably more. Do you honestly believe these stunts have dawned a new era of Charlton fans?

  • I quite like the yellow shirts........ just saying...... and weren't we in the yellow when we went there a couple of weeks ago and beat them 4-0...... well....... HELLO WYCOMBE WERE'RE BACK!! ......... IN OUR YELLOW....... AND SO SOON TOO..... DO YOU REMEMBER US?........ THOUGHT SO....... oh and guess what? ....... WE'LL FLIPPING WELL BE SEEING YOU AGAIN ON THURSDAY TOO!!!
YES, LUCKY YOU.... WE CAN'T WAIT EITHER!!

Oh I don’t think it’s worth the money, I also don’t think it’s worth the reaction. Both he and the club will be able to say to people that the video got X number of views and interactions etc. I get why it’s annoyed people and I’m not a fan of it but I think it’s less of a big deal than others do

  • Was that video another Bazzballers “commission”?
  • If we keep a clean sheet 1-0, concede 2-1
  • Would of rather seen Christophe Lepoint talking about his wonderful time at Charlton. But life goes on.

GAME DAY.... got the Sunday scaries already.
  • GAME DAY!!!!
     Come on you reds!!

Whether we like it or not, social media is now the main shop window for the club — it’s how we project our identity, attract new fans, and keep the wider football world tuned in. So yes, what goes out does matter. I don’t have an X (Twitter) account myself, but that doesn’t mean I want to see utter tripe being served up on the club’s official channels. As Brazilance quite rightly said, we want to be seen as “Gold Standard” off the pitch — sadly, the recent ticket chaos and that bizarre promo video felt more “Poundland and Popcorn.”

Having worked in sport-related marketing and promotions, I’m genuinely baffled how this stuff even sees daylight. Who wrote that script? Who thought, “Yes, that’s the tone we’re going for”? And who nodded along in the final edit like it was a Cannes-worthy masterpiece?

If Charlton are serious about stepping up — both on and off the pitch — the senior management team (SMT) need to ask a few hard questions. Working for our national broadcaster on major events, I can tell you: this wouldn’t have made it past the intern’s inbox. We're not asking for Spielberg, just something that doesn’t make the club look like it’s being run by a committee of Muppets (and not the good ones from the balcony!).

Let’s aim higher — because our fans deserve better, and the club’s legacy certainly does. At the very least, let's avoid becoming the next viral sensation for all the wrong reasons.

  • So If Berry isn't deemed fit, then who replaces him.
I'm really not convinced Anderson or Gilbert are a direct replacement for him.

    Don't laugh, but Ahadme?

    I don't think thats a laughing matter! :'(

  • Back to the game, I'm pretty confident. Get an early goal and I can see Wycombe rapidly losing confidence.

Since January our points total is much better than Wycombe's, we have to approach the game in that mindset.

I think the early goal is key. If we can race out the traps and slot one in early their confidence with crumble.

It's football, stop taking yourself so seriously ffs and enjoy the game today.
  • That home form in the playoffs continues today mate.
  • Never mind all this. Let's get to the game and support the boys from start to finish and hopefully we will get a result. COYRs
  • Sun’s shining, just off to golf, will help me take my mind off this afternoon.

Hate the fact not one home team has won their play off game yet…
Chesterfield should beat Walsall…but then that will get me thinking that today is the day of home wins. Why do we do this to ourselves?
  • Butterflies going already ! Please lads don’t blow this let’s get the job done today none of this leaving it to a nervy Thursday night at the Valley COYRS
