  • Let’s face it. Loans will depend on who is available and in what position. We won’t be taking Matt Smiths or similar.

Decent and adaptable but unlikely to want to sit on bench. We desperately need a pacy LCB.
I wouldn’t worry.  If we didn’t have the cash to tempt Small to stay, we won’t be anywhere near him.
Vile post to speculate on what we can and can't pay! This is toxic.

We will pay what we want to pay! We don't know how much Championship teams pay. We aren't paying these players flippin peanuts.

Time to log off I think. Need the season to start.
    Everyone looks at me!!!
Ideally they would. That's the goal.
  • Read on X that Rangers want Harry Darling and may not move for Mulligan now.
Another example, if true, of how a managerial change can change things, with Martin favouring his former player. With Martin playing a certain way, it makes sense him signing players who like to play that way too.
  • Beadle
    He is off to Birmingham

We’ll wait and see but I was not at all convinced by the original reports from a couple of days ago, that Rangers had beaten Salford City to signing him, for a £1 million fee.

Felt like a dodgy “AI slop” report from the beginning.
  • Notice that Bolton and Wycombe have each signed Defenders from North of the Border this last week - Seems its not just us (not surprising) scouting in Scotland now.

Wycombe will be quite light at CB with Low going to Huddersfield and Sonny Bradley being on loan.

I think we can be certain NJ will want to improve the starting 11.

I don’t see Ramsay and Jones losing their places, and Edwards and Coventry are also unlikely to.

We 100% need a couple of strikers and Leaburn to get fit to give TC and Godden proper competition. That’s then up to those 4-6 strikers to win and keep their what’s likely to be 2 places in the team.

I think Mannion, Gillesphey, Docherty and Berry are the obvious regular starters we’ll look to upgrade on. That’s not to dismiss their efforts in getting us promoted or write them off making a positive impact next season, it’s close to a 50+ game season when you add in at least 2 cup games, they’ll all play their part.

All this assumes none of the main starting 11 leave, but knowing NJ will be ruthless and some players will attract bids I wouldn’t rule out 1 or 2 moving on.
Gilly was POTY since January  , Berry a championship player , Mannion is also good enough to be number 1 in the championship and Doc will be captain cause of his experience in championship
Jeez please don't call him Gilly.

I bet you were the one who called Kermorgant, Kermy weren't you.
He can’t spell Gillesphey though. Cut him some slack.

    Likey!

We saw the downside of loans for Orient last season. Without Currie ,  Donley  Keeley and Kelman the O's would not have come close to the Play Offs.Having failed in that objective they now need to start again. In contrast  Campbell ( he did play well against Birmingham) Gilbert and McIntyre added depth none of them made the impact that the Orient loanees did.
We certainly don't want to be (and i doubt we will), in a position where we've got 4 loan players in the first team. I know Jones isn't a fan of loans but if we can get 1-2 PL loans in of the quality of Gallagher and Rak-Sakyi, then i don't see the harm in that.

Sunderland and Burnley both had 4 players on loan last season.  I doubt they are upset about it.
It depends on the terms of the loans though. Burnley actually had 5 loans, and 4 of them had obligations to buy which they took up, so they don't need to rebuild their team this summer. 2 of Sunderland's 4 loans they have also signed permanently.

If we can get that type of loan then it's very much in our favour and is very different to signing a player like Gallagher who can then be recalled in January.

From Nixon, sounds like another AMB type signing when he first came over.

Charlton are keen to snap up young Australian keeper Sonny Inzalaco - who has a British passport.

Inzalaco, 17, is a 6ft4in shot-stopper who recently starred for the young Aussies in youth internationals in Europe.

The youngster plays for Perth Red Star and is desperate to come to England to make his name.
Nope not for me, we have a Sonny already.

    And Sonny Bradley next?

Always best to look on the bright side
  • Sonny Carey, Inzalaco, Bradley…

Odds on the next signing being Jim?

Good spot and if true, exactly the sort of gems we should be pursuing even if we don’t succeed in landing them all. Galbraith has a lot of technical capability and should be in the Championship next season for sure. Hopefully this was a first rather than final bid…if true.

Thought that was gonna be a fake account but it’s genuine, good sign of intent atleast.
  • Orient fans in the quotes seem to think 1.3m is nowhere near enough. Responses include “that’s enough for his left leg”, “that’s not even half of what he’s worth” and “that’s such a disrespectful bid”.
