I'd quite like to get two and race them round a few obstacles though.

Dreading the day Stokes retires. So important to this team.

India the most laughably hypocritical team going. How much time have they wasted here? Far more than Crawley did that’s for sure

Looking forward to watching Jurel keep all game while Pant bats... again.

Elsewhere Rehan Ahmed (batting at 3) scored 115 for Leicestershire before taking a 6fer bowling. He’s having a great season, surely he comes into consideration for the red ball team at some point?

Don't you just love Test cricket. Play at a ground with lights but go off because of bad light. What is the point of having fucking lights then !!!

Hoping that they can play to 7pm over the remaining 4 days to make up the overs lost to "bad light". Or as been said on here before...why not start tomorrow at 10.30 ?

Again, more stupid rules. If you cant bat then you can't field. End of.

If he can't field that's okay they should have a sub. But sub shouldn't be allowed to keep. Should be someone from the 11. Makes it more interesting if nothing else. Pant should probably be made to bat down the order too for not keeping

KL Rahul is perfectly good at it. Might tire him out a bit for opening the batting.

Great over from Archer. Not a bad catch from Brook either!

Maybe after the Ashes.  I wouldn’t take a young leg spinner to Australia.

I wouldn't take anybody I even vaguely liked to that backward place with the greatest concentration of  deadly wildlife.

Good start today. Ball doing a fair bit. Unfortunately not quite come off in the wickets column. Om another day we could have them all out by now

What if his primary job description is number 3 bat?

Really need to wrap this up sub 360 as Bumrah will be lethal on this.

Well this should be interesting. One suspects that Pant will be in for a good time and not a long time. Yorkers galore coming!

I think that there might be a run out here. And it might not be Pant.

Different matter .  Whether making second division runs for Leicester is enough to usurp both Pope and Bethell pre Ashes is another thing .

I suspect that, given his injury history, not many would have had a couple of months ago, Stokes as the top wicket taker for either side in this Series.
