No, it doesn't but it might make you less of a supporter - how would the club survive if everybody just picked or choose their games? I've got a season ticket and have had for over 40 years but i'm quite willing to admit i'm not as big or true a supporter as a season ticket holder who goes to every away game , has valley gold, attends shitty early round cup (reserve ) games and pre season friendlies - i used to go away a bit more years ago as well - i was more of a supporter then but i'm no less of a fan now, i just don't support as much as i did. Every fan has their own way of being a fan - some go home and away religiously, some pick and choose. Some buy season tickets, some don't. Some are lapsed, others are addicted. Some have found other things to do, and different life stages result in different levels of attendance. Some never attend games.
Any of these doesn't make anyone more or less a fan.1 -

My post obviously doesn't apply to people who can't go for valid reasons. Based on the demand for Wembley, first season back in the Champ, nice weather, Saturday 3pm kick off, and us spending a significant amount of money, the team should be backed.
As I always say, if this was Liverpool away or Man United, people would be asking for spares. It's just the truth.
Be interesting if we draw a big Premier league team in the cup and all of a sudden people will be more willing to go.
Just to be clear one more time. I am not telling anyone how to support this club. I am saying it's disappointing to not see better support.QPR tickets will be going on sale in the coming days and we’ll have an allocation of around 1,800. That thread will be an interesting read.

Plymouth took 3.4k last season. We will sell our or nearly sell out our initial allocation, had we sold out quicker, we would have got more tickets.
I am turning into a parrot now, but I find it disappointing after the season we just had and how good the team is, the demand isn't there. We should be fighting over these tickets imo, but hey ho4 -

It isn't actually, it's more or less the same distance. However, of course Bristol for Plymouth away support is more or less on the doorstep.

Our average away attendance was between 800-1000 in 23/24, Plymouth's was 1600 in their last league 1 season.Plymouth are like a few clubs who have an exceptional away following given their location and how 'successful' they are.Plymouth, Exeter(yes, true), Wednesday, Norwich, Ipswich, Portsmouth and Leeds. These are a few that have a terrific away following regardless of their division and position in the table.1 -
Can't believe people continue to argue over away numbers. I couldn't give a shit if we sold 1500 or 2500. There are many different reasons why people do, or don't, go to away matches. To me you are no less of a fan if you dont. Same as ST holders. You are no less of a fan if you don't buy a ST.9

Amazed how much this has triggered people. The best part is I wasn't even on a wind up, just pointing out that it would be nicer to see a bit more excitement after an amazing season.

Also, cause you're evidently a bit of a plonker, I'll go a bit more in depth. A 9 year old that has parents or family are very different to a Charlton fan who has no relatives that support Charlton and no one willing to take them to a game, I would firmly fall into the category of 'wants to go but can't' which of whom none of my post is aimed at for those circumstances. Plymouth took 3.4k last season. We will sell our or nearly sell out our initial allocation, had we sold out quicker, we would have got more tickets.
I am turning into a parrot now, but I find it disappointing after the season we just had and how good the team is, the demand isn't there. We should be fighting over these tickets imo, but hey ho
Our average away attendance was between 800-1000 in 23/24, Plymouth's was 1600 in their last league 1 season.
I can already see the next excuse coming of there's more to do in London than Devon or that they have less competition or the trains aren't great or something.

Also, cause you're evidently a bit of a plonker, I'll go a bit more in depth. A 9 year old that has parents or family are very different to a Charlton fan who has no relatives that support Charlton and no one willing to take them to a game, I would firmly fall into the category of 'wants to go but can't' which of whom none of my post is aimed at for those circumstances. Tit.
What we are taking is still a very good turnout.
