Let’s compare to another newly promoted team who have a similar / slightly less 120 mile+ journey to their first away game in the Championship.2

2.43 from Charlton to Bristol TM0 -

Amazed how much this has triggered people. The best part is I wasn't even on a wind up, just pointing out that it would be nicer to see a bit more excitement after an amazing season.
More replies incoming but it won't change the fact we are looking like we have struggled to sell out our first Championship away day after people losing their minds on the Wembley tickets thread.
Also, cause you're evidently a bit of a plonker, I'll go a bit more in depth. A 9 year old that has parents or family are very different to a Charlton fan who has no relatives that support Charlton and no one willing to take them to a game, I would firmly fall into the category of 'wants to go but can't' which of whom none of my post is aimed at for those circumstances. Tit.
What we are taking is still a very good turnout.0 -

I like the mental gymnastics on this thread! Oohaahmortimer and Braziliance and spot on and perhaps related?! If we had Liverpool away mid week at £40 a ticket in the middle of August, tickets would fly off the shelfs.
Have to say, our away support has gone from embarrassing to respectable. 2.5k to Bristol is still very good IMO.

Doesn't mean anything.9 -
2.5k to Bristol City is superb for us in my opinion. No point comparing us to Birmingham, same way as you wouldn't compare our away support to Leeds'.
Here's the averages from last season in the champ. I'd expect us to be in and around the 1500 markMillwall - 889
Swansea City - 964
Watford - 1,081
Preston North End - 1,236
Cardiff City - 1,257
Luton Town - 1,272

Bristol City - 1,330
QPR - 1,418
Blackburn Rovers - 1,440
Norwich City - 1,458
Oxford United - 1,516
Stoke City - 1,574
Plymouth Argyle - 1,612
West Brom - 1,876
Coventry City - 2,173
Middlesbrough - 2,191
Burnley - 2,202
Sheffield United - 2,246
Pompey - 2,263
Sheffield Wednesday - 2,353
Derby County - 2,549
Sunderland - 2,751
Leeds United - 3,120

Our average numbers will definitely be helped by having Leicester/Southampton/Ipswich in the division instead of Sunderland/Leeds/Burnley.1

Norwich's away support has slipped massively on that table!0 -

The blocks were just opened up gradually by Charlton not because we received any extra tickets.
The front rows are netted off in the away end, looking at the map when selecting tickets it seems that the first row you can select from is row 12. There looks to be around 37 seats in a row in each block, there are 7 blocks so you're comfortably looking at 2k seats netted off .3 -

Personal view, I think it’s a little disappointing given all that’s happened in the last 12 months that we took 2,700 to Reading in L1 this time last year and we are struggling to sell our allocation for first game back in the Champ.0 -

My 3 arrived in the post a couple days ago. Today 3 more arrived. Different seats and 1 adult 2 u12s. Called the ticket office. Turns out they've been sent to me by mistake. Told to rip them up and they'll get new ones to the right owner....

Anyone going by coach looks like the pick up times have changed it’s now showingPick-Up Points/Times for coach One
- Bexleyheath - 8:20am
- Charlton - 8:50am
- Bromley - 9:30am
Pick-Up Points/Times for coach Two- Larkfield - 8:20am

Not heard anything about this and appears a very strange order of pick up times?0
